Default Re: Sporting News on Texans Prospects

Untill we can prove we're not the last place team in the division, people will keep sticking us there. I think we're a much improved team but the Colts and Jags ARE better than we are. Every year I think the Titans get worse... but they still come out and beat us- I think this year may be different.

I actually think Cleveland is getting to be a really good team. While I don't think Derek Anderson is one of the top QB's in the league, he's more than enough with the surrounding cast. They've got a great OL- with two of the best (Joe Thomas and Eric Steinbach), Jamal Lewis running behind that line will be good + they've got Kellen Winslow & Braylon Edwards as receiving targets (two of the best at their positions) and Cribbs as one of the top return specialists. Their defense is another story that needs improvement but they have some real fire power to score points on offense.

Back to the Texans- the thing I really like is all the depth/competition at pretty much every position. You know we're a much better team when you have to cut good players that you want on the team, just to meet the roster. We're only moving up and are FINALLY a team you can't overlook and shouldn't disrespect anymore!
