The Chiefs need defense, and the whole league knows it. They tried bringing in Gunther Cunningham last offseason, but he needs some tools to work with.
Given that, and the emergence of defensive end Jared Allen to provide some pass rush, the Chiefs look to upgrade their pass coverage. Marlin Jackson is their man. After playing some safety and corner at Michigan, he was moved back to corner for his Senior season where he was solid, if not spectacular. He has played against top level competition and comes with a great deal of experience. Kansas City takes a step towards building a defense to complement their top flight offense.
