Tampa Bay hasn't had a decent running back since the days of Warrick Dunn. While Michael Pittman is a servicable NFL starter, he is not the type of back that strikes fear into opposing teams. The Bucs picked up oft-injured Charlie Garner last offseason through free agency, who sat out most of the season with an injury.

This was a somewhat difficult decision to make as a GM...My first instinct was to take Barron out of FSU and use him as an insurance plan for when Todd Steussie decides to retire, but the need for a franchise back seemed more important...The main deciding factor for Brown over Caddilac or Benson was his combination of size, speed, and receiving ability...
