Hilarious. A while back I wrote this:
EA Sports Hates the Houston Texans
Then I tracked down the Madden PR flack of EA Sports, and showed him that blog post and added a little umph to it. Asking him in so many word why EA Sports was intentionally sticking it in the face of Texans fans, fans in the 4th most populated city in America. And more. Firm and polite, but a little ugly.
The PR guy got super apologetic. I wrote about it in this follow up blog post:

What I wrote didn't nearly convey how apologetic they were.
So yeah, I can't prove that the email and blog posts had anything to do with the can of virtual whoopass that Mario unleashed at the beginning of that ad, I'm going to take credit for it. At least in my heart.
Just because the Texans haven't won yet, doesn't mean that we as Texans fans can't unleash our own can of whoopass when folks cross the line.
