Good point AJ - thanks for some sense. The worst thing you want to do is get on the coaching go round. In the NFL it takes 3 to 4 years to put all your offense and defense togehter. Anytime you hire a new staff you go back to the bottom of the hill unless you have exceptionally talented and very experienced players (such as Tampa Bay when Gruden game over) On the other hand, look at Cleveland, they were making progress with Chris Palmer, lost Patience and hired the big time college guy. Ever siince this move they have stumbled and fallen. There are plenty of others examples also.

I assume smash mouth goes with defense since smash mouth and open minded offense do not go together. If you want smash mouth defense and open mined offense you could always try to recruit Kevin Gilbride and Buddy Ryan back to town. That fits that the description pretty well
