Interesting question, but nothing is ever perfect. Can anyone name me a
"perfect" draft. You can break down any team's draft over the lifetime of the draft, and go through each round, and in hindsight, pick a pro-bowler in practically every round. But, that's not how these things work. You make your best judgement based upon all available evidence at that moment in time. You don't have the advantage of going into a time machine. So, speculate all you wish, but the bottom line is, if I look at it with that moment in time in mind, I can't quibble with anything they did. Probably the best expansion draft in history. And, nobody could have predicted Payne being out all last year. Revionist history is just that.
