Right. It is a short pass pattern designed to get DD open underneath. As the great Craig James (
) diagramed in the Bronco preseason game, the TE clears out the LBs with an up route, and Davis slides out of the backfield after faking a block. It's a called play, it works more often than not, so I guess we'll see it until someone stops it or Domanick breaks down.
