He's already expensive. Darius carries a $4.1 mil contract for this season. To agree with a trade, the Texans would have to workout a long term contract where Darius gets his money and the cap hit is not so high. Darius has no reason to sign a below market deal.

There's no reason to get into a bidding war that doesn't exist yet. If the Jags release Darius, the Texans can look into what it takes to sign him. If it is too much, well it probably would have been too much when Darius was under contract to the Jags. Whether the Texans can acquire Darius or not, they're are OK at safety. No reason to hand over our hard earned Henson pick to a division rival.
