Maybe cracked or bruised, but definitely not broken. Broken ribs can lead to life threatening injuries and the pain would be intolerable if a whole slab of human ribs were broken. Anyone who did that is both fyucking nuts and fyuking lucky to be alive. They definitely wouldn't try it with today's 300LB+ Behemoths tracking them down.

24 or so is the normal number of human ribs, I believe.
