Cleveland Browns linebacker Quentin Groves faces a solicitation charge after being arrested as part of a sting operation last week, according to multiple reports. Per Cleveland television station WEWS NewsChannel 5
, the Orange Village (Ohio) police said Groves was caught, along with 14 other men, when he tried to pay an undercover female officer for sex.
The arrest occurred around 9 p.m. ET on April 17, at the Homestead Studio Suites
in Beachwood, the city whose police department set up the sting along with the Cuyahoga County's Sheriff's Office. When Groves called to set up the session, he offered to give the woman $100 for one hour of "full service." Police took him into custody after he arrived at the hotel about 90 minutes later and seized the $195.70 and box of Magnum condoms Groves had in his possession as evidence.
He pleaded no contest
in court and has another hearing on May 10.
