I think sometimes people have unrealistic expectations relative to what NFL football just is. You know, like sometimes even good offenses punt. Or maybe a team that has a ton of turnover on the offensive line and injuries of their TEs and stuff may sometimes struggle with their execution.
Looking at the post you quoted, that was not what he was stating. He was pointing to Kubiak's approach to obtaining a first down and breaking down the down and distance during this play calling (i.e. what did we do on 3rd and 8, etc). Not the actual playcalling on first down.
