Play is halted after half of the lights went out during the third quarter of the NFL Super Bowl XLVII football game between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers in New Orleans Reuters
During the 34-minute delay caused by a power outage at the Superdome, CBS reported that the problem was caused by the failure of an outside power feed into the stadium.
The company that provides the power has a different take. Entergy sent out word that the failure was on the side of the Superdome and that there wasn’t a problem with the power they were providing to the stadium.
Power issue at the Super Dome appears to be in the customer's side. Entergy is providing power to the Dome.

There’s sure to be a lot more finger pointing in what was a very embarrassing moment for the league and the stadium on the biggest possible stage.
