That is really what worries me. Is the Texans and Cushing being very far apart in terms of what they want to invest in him, and what he think he deserves, because of his knee. Let's say he has an off year next year. Its well known that ACL injuries can take a player another year after recovery for a player to really get back to being comfortable and really trusting their knee.
That, and who knows if he really wants to be closer to the eastcoast.
