I don't get the criticism here. It's not like McNair is exploiting Earl's good name for a pre season game, or something. This is a good chance for Houston to pay tribute to a legend and tap into some positive energy for a playoff game.

Question is this: Can Gary Kubiak watch Earl walk out there, or does he need a coach to watch FOR him and then signal to Gary that Earl did, indeed, make it onto the field and convert the symbolic gesture?
