This week he gets D'Brickashaw Ferguson 4th overall selection in 06, one many Texan fans I remember wanted over the big three including Mario.
So please think about the competition he faces & matched up with, his responsibility for setting the edge keeping containment then trying to get to the QB first before some SWATT guy who is having a pro bowl year get's there first
I also don't base my impression of Connor after only four games. Would I like to see more production, sacks, you betcha but defense is strong, he plays his role still well, sooner or later he will break through just like he's proved in the past. Texans have far greater needs than adding another OLB into an already crowded can't get a Mercilus attack.

BL, 2 very good posts. I couldn't agree more. Guys there's nothing wrong with Barwin. He's playing very well within the scheme we're currently running and he goes against the opponents best O-lineman every week. He sets the edge and turns the RB back into the middle, like he should be doing. As long as the D is playing well it really doesn't matter who gets the stats. Teams will adjust to Watt sometime soon and Smith will start getting lots of stats along with Reed and Barwin. Look at Barwins lack of sack stats as money off his next contract. Barwin is just fine and I really hope we re-sign him. I really see no need for OLB in the 2013 draft unless we lose Barwin to FA and I really hope that doesn't happen.
