He is injury prone. It's just that the term "injury prone" doesn't really cover the situation properly. Lots of things can make a player injury prone and being physically "fragile" (which is how the term is usually taken) is only one of them. Vick is injury prone. The way he plays the game makes him more likely to be hurt. I don't think anyone would really argue with that but nobody calls him injury prone. Well, maybe they didn't used to.
Playing in a system that exposes you to more contact can make you injury prone. Not having a good feel for pressure or a very good internal clock can make you injury prone. Standing in and holding on to the ball like Roethlisburger does will eventually make him more likely to be hurt. As he ages he won't be able to get away with it nearly as much.
Matt Schaub's career pretty much answers the question. Injuries have been an issue for him.
