Apparently Steve has a hamstring injury. Found this at houstonchronicle.com.

McKinney hurt
Center Steve McKinney was held out of the evening workout because of a hamstring injury and will undergo an MRI as a precaution. McKinney said the injury might keep him out of a couple of practices, but he was not overly concerned about it being serious.

Right guard Zach Wiegert also was held out of the evening practice because of an infection on his left elbow. Rookie safety Glenn Earl, who is recovering from knee surgery, practiced during the morning workout only.

Texans coach Dom Capers will decide whether Earl will participate in both practices during two-a-days.

"It depends on how his knee feels," Capers said. "This first week, we want to be cautious."
