The Titans will be a major contender
How about even, "The Titans will win one game." Boy, this looked easy, didn't it? Some even thought Jeff Fisher's club would win 9, 11, 13 games (as they did in '08). But in the span of only six games, they've somehow let up 132 more points than Denver alone. The loss of Albert Haynesworth may be a big reason, as the Titans leading sacker (James Jones) is tied for 27th in the NFL with a grand total of three.
But the biggest reason for the Titans' fade from first to worst could simply be karma. In short, when you kick the city of Houston in the gut by resurrecting the uniforms of the Oilers and having the team who abandoned the city wear them complete with the coach donning a "Houston Oilers" hat, it means conjuring up luck so bad that it makes the Madden Curse look tame.
