IIRC....we were sitting in the thirteenth slot......there were two players we coveted, Derick Johnson and Jamal Brown. Technically you're correct...they passed on Derrick Johnson. However, Travis fit a need and I think hind sight has proven he was selected twenty spots too high.
And basically CC's gamble blew up in his face. Which was a common failing when CC was drafting players.
