There was nothing to fight over. Slug Adams had ALL the rights to keep the name, colors, and records, as he was the SOLE owner of the franchise from the beginning. There was never
an opportunity to negotiate the rights with him and there was never
a chance that he would be honorable about the whole deal.
And he didn't creep away with it. He negotiated a deal with Nashville while suing the city of Houston, the county, and Astrodome USA to prevent them from interfering with his negotiations. Slug had no desire to work with the Houston Rodeo or anyone else. He wanted the city and county to give him a stadium that he could control 100%. The sooner that fat piece of human waste passes on to meet his daddy Lucifer, the better, IMO.
Comparing them to the Browns is apples and oranges.
