Re: NFL salaries by team and position Very Cool
Things I noted
Kevin Walter's salary should not be 3 mil for that production level when Dre's salary is less than 6 mil for HIS production level. Walter needs out. Antonio Smith's salary is a huge pain in the butt. It needs restructuring or he needs to take a pay hit. Or, he could leave, but then we'd be looking to draft DE or get a DE free agent because I do not believe Jared Crick is the starter we're looking for there. LB - look for Keyaron Fox to be cut. Has not seen playing time to my knowledge and does not need to be on this team. |

AJ salaries 2012 thru 2017:
700,000 6,200,000 6,500,000 10,500,000 11,000,000 The Texans probably will agree to the last 2 years to be completed in returned for his generous 2012 team "save." |

Always looking for new sources but why not use Spotrac like this source does and eliminate middleman? Also, NFL is cited as a source link but try to find anything there dealing with individual salary details or cap.
Edit: Also it lists Quin as 2012-13 player but he is a FA now. McCain, Ball and Routt all listed and are FAs. I'm sleepy so maybe missing something but not sure how useful this is. Think I'd rather go with other sources. |

Re: NFL salaries by team and position Very Cool
Norg, those figures are just salaries; in cap space, the Colts spent it all just like us.
They we're lucky to win some of their games like we were unlucky to lose some in 2010. Also, they had much fewer injuries than us. They will have some money to spend next year, but it will remain to be seen if they can spend it wisely. They will have some decisions to make; whether to retain Freeney or not; how to improve their D; how to upgrade their O-line, etc. If we can stay healthy it's not going to be easy for them to compete, unless they make all the right moves. |
