Hey guys, do you remember that time that the Dallas Cowboys's new DC gave up 700 yards to Chip Kelly? Tee-hee!

I hope he doesn't have a pull a Nick Saban on the Eagles in a year or two. It's likely a college team will probably go up to him and offer him a ridiculous amount of money in a year or two, and after his constant back and forth the last few seasons about going to the NFL, it's not hard to imagine him saying he won't leave Philly then suddenly bolting. I hope he has success as an NFL coach, but I'd be a bit nervous if I were an Eagle fan considering how he just left Oregon.

What are the chances that a report comes out soon that Oregon is facing sanctions for their football program?

@FauxJohnMadden: BOOM. RT @ArashMarkazi: I guess Chip Kelly really couldn't resist going up against a Monte Kiffin defense twice a year.
Hahaha.

Between Lurie, Redskins' owner Snyder, and the Cowboys' Jones that's somekind of gigantic, continuous pissing-contest those guys in that NFC East Division all have with each other isn't it ?

You're probably right.

they must be keeping Vick. Perhaps they sign Tebow.

Quote:

I'm sure the RG3 phenomenon is adding to the Chip Kelly hype but Robert Griffin III was knocked out of a game three times -- once by concussion, once from a brutal hit from Baltimore Ravens nose tackle Haloti Ngata, and a final time in the playoffs that required surgery and puts his NFL future in jeopardy.

Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota carried the ball 106 times in 13 games for Kelly this season. Overall, Oregon quarterbacks have rushed the ball 464 times in Kelly's four seasons with the Ducks. I'm not sure he can maintain that in the NFL against much bigger, quicker and faster defensive players without losing a quarterback -- be it Michael Vick, Nick Foles, Geno Smith or anyone else -- to injury for a significant amount of time.

The game is constantly changing in small ways, but the basis of championship football will always be physical and mental toughness in the NFL, not gadget offensive schemes. When Kelly and his Oregon squads faced physically tough and defensively sound teams, they did not fare well.

Conversely people were wondering if Harbaugh or Carroll would work out in the Pro's and both guys seem to be doing alright. At this point in the offseason for the eagles they had not named a coach yet and I think Chip Kelly is a more interesting hire than Gus Bradley or Brian Billick (Two guys that were interviewing with Philly).

If Kelly turns into a guy who thinks his scheme will fit anybody and everybody and he can make it work then he's not going to be long for the NFL, I just don't think he's going to do that at all.

Wonder if he is going to still help ole billy up in patriotsville still

(nfl network showed he was working with the pats and his system. One word says It all)

They are good friends but being he is the league, would he share any more secrets of his system?

Yes, I can imagine him on the sideline coaching up the 2nd string QB.
