Garrett Graham's status for Sunday...

This quote from Kubiak's press conference earlier today would at least make you think he'll be ready to go.

Schaub stated Monday that Garrett was fine and that he talked with him a bit after the game

Texans/Patriots Injury Report
 
Kubs is having the team practice in the later afternoon, beginning at 3 pm in order to simulated the Patriots late game time. Inclement weather took practice to the dome. Ball did not practice again, but it is because the indoor turf. Reed, G. Graham, and Tate were all full practice (fwiw since no pads and indoor turf dictates "full" nothing).

One thing I found strange. After being off the Injury Report all last week, G. Graham is back as "concussion."

As usual, ~1/2 of the Pats' squad is on the report as limited.

I hope the AC was down to 25 degrees in the practice dome, with fake snow being blown around by gigantic industrial fans.

That would really be strange since all weather forecasts call for ~50-55 degrees with little chance for precipitation.:thinking:

No indication to the contrary. But I wonder why "concussion" reappeared after being absent last week. His was not even listed on the Injury Report at all last week.

He took a blow to the head in the 4th, but finished the game.

My concern is he was also allowed to practice last time before he did not play.

I just checked it out..........he suffered a formal concussion in the Bengals game. He will need to follow the entire concussion protocol all over again this week. Final neurologist check out will not occur before Saturday......possibly Sunday morning. Second concussions, especially when experienced close together will follow the same protocol as the first......but in fact with a more critical eye when it comes to the final neurological assessment. If you remember, I cautioned about being hopeful of Graham returning the week after his initial concussion. Like everyone else, I hope he checks out for this game.

Does this mean he is out for Sunday? More than likely he is I would assume since this is his second one.

Why do we only have two TEs on the roster any ways if the 2nd is so crucial to our offense?

I mean...all those years where we just drafted TE after TE and only have two to show for it?

Hell OD got banged up early in the Cinci game where he went in motion and was used as a lead blocker. He got up slow and looked dazed. Later he took a big hit after a catch. I'm surprised he doesn't have a concussion. If Kubiak is going to use them as lead blockers and Matt is going to continue to throw them the ball when the defense is bearing down on them we are going to have to draft a couple more TEs in the next draft.

I really don't understand why Casey isn't used at TE more.

He was to be so versatile that he could be used in lots of creatively disguised ways out of the FB position. Unfortunately, he has seemed to have fooled no one except Schaub.

He's not a FB. Next year, we need to utilize his receiving skills to the fullest as a TE, and accept him simply as a good blocking TE.

Two concussions within a few weeks for Graham. That's scary.
