it should be easy only thing going for the vikings is there run game..you stop that there offense comes to a screaching halt..they havnt won many road games this year. im sure the texans will lock 1st seed on sunday.

They are 2-5 on the road, but apparently one of the 2 was recently against the Rams, who I hear have been good lately (although I thought they pretty much sucked).

Florio's new Power Rankings sinks the Texans behind the Broncos, Niners and Falcons, but one ahead of the Pats. His remark beside the #4 Houston Texans: "The road to New Orleans most likely will go through Houston. The question is whether the team from Houston will be the one making the trip." With the Texans' recent performances, this is the same thing that many other analysts are saying......and Texans fans are worried about.

I think the power rankings are shaking out pretty close to what I think they should be. Team records & who beat who aren't as important as who is playing the best football.

The 49ers being ranked over the Patriots is odd to me (but not everyone has it that way). There are injury concerns, but if I had to put money on it, I don't think 49ers can do that again. Just like I don't think New England will blow us out again. Win maybe, most likely. But not like last Monday.

The spread has been all over the place from the start with several offshore lines giving up to 9.5

The revival of the Vikings and AP, along with the schizophrenic unpredictability of a Texans "whole" game O and D performance over the past 5 games.........

-7.5 is a good line for this game. The Vikings are all about the running game, which is featuring a guy who has an honest to god shot at breaking Dickerson's record. Unfortunately the QB is so inept that he can't take real advantage of having Peterson in his backfield. Kyle Rudolph is a fairly good TE, and after that their offensive line is Matt Kalil being real good while the other guys are decentish but not world beating.

Their defense is Jared Allen and Kevin Williams on the line, some decent linebackers and inconsistent secondary play. The Texans can lose this game sure, but it would probably end up being on them with bad turnovers and really sloppy defensive play in order for that to happen. If they play their game and force Ponder into some bad mistakes, then they can grab a 10 point lead and just sit on it through the second half. If they lead by more than that it can easily spell doom for the Vikes.

The Texans two bad losses this year were because some really great QB's had some really great games. They have made all of their money this season making QB's just like Christian Ponder look terrible.

The Texans are 8-0 when leading after the opening period and 10-0 when leading at halftime and after three quarters.

Texans should beat the Vikings by 10 or more.

-7.5 is a steal. I'd be all over it if I were in Vegas.

The thing I really like to watch for is the move that comes friday/saturday. Currently 57% of the money is on the vikings if that flops to 55-60% Texans that is a strong positive move for them

So with all the money on the Vikings now, that says the general thought amongst the betting public believe that 7.5 is too big, right?

Either they have no faith in our ability to score or they think AD will play outside his average & find the end zone often?
