Heisman Draft projections?
 

If you were to project the three Heisman finalist in the next draft, where do you think they would go?

1st Round? Teo probably right? Top 5 maybe?

Klein? 3rd maybe 4th best QB in a weak QB class? Late first?

Manzeil...... I know he isn't eligible, doesn't have a lot of experience, but surely the excitement around this guy would put him in the 1st round right?

While I know bias will win, Johnny Manziel should win..... He probably won't........... After all he's simply a freshman..

Manziel is not a pro prospect to me. He is a system QB.

That is so funny. If you watched him at all this year, you would know that he is anything but a system qb.

Now if you want to say he is undersized for the NFL, that argument have some merit. Doug Flutie and Drew Brees may have something to say about it, but at least it would show some football knowledge.

Wow, Flutie and Brees were much better passers than Manziel. He's nowhere near Robert Griffin's level of play either. Dude is maybe a 3-4th round pick right now, and that might be generous. He has a long way to go to become franchise QB material, but the good thing is he has plenty of time to do it.

I was purely referencing size as a measuring stick for NFL qb's. Just saying that would have been a better knock on Manziel than calling him a system qb. Not trying to compare him to Brees for Flutie other than size.

From Manziel's current body of work, I'd say no earlier than 4rd round right now. Manziel had to make too many things happen with his feet but there is always a team, like say the Raider's, who'll take a late round chance on him just for his physical talent. Give him a couple more years of work, more repetitions within David Klingler's spread offense and he'll become a system QB. There's potential for Manziel to generate some gaudy numbers in the future, in which case, he may move up to the first round. There's also a chance be goes undrafted like Chase Daniels who also put up some gaudy numbers out of Missouri.

I'm curious how A&M's spread offense will work next year now that the SEC has gotten a look at it.

I think A&M will continue to produce on offense and improve as Manziel gets more experience. Before the fall of Petrino, Arkansas was tearing up the SEC with Tyler Wilson and their spread offense. It's a somewhat similar system, but their QB didn't run the ball anywhere near as much as Manziel. I think A&M has a good chance to continue to compete in the SEC for the next two years and potentially win the conference. As a fan, I sure am expecting them to compete for it next year. As long as Johnny improves his passing game, A&M will continue to move on up.

This is a twenty year old we are talking about. While he will definately fill out in the shoulders and thighs, relative few 20 plus year old guys get taller. It happens enough where it is possible, but really outside the norm.

This for Manziel. There's def a lot of excitement for the guy, but my concerns for next year seeing the spread offense and having time to look at how LSU and Florida bottled him up is going to play a big part in game planning. Kingsbury and Sumlin are going to have to get him better at throwing the ball. My bigger concern isn't necessarily just size for passing reasons but if he continues at this current rate if his body will hold up to two to three more years of SEC defenses.

If he keeps it up he's likely going to be a high second round pick and if he's in a weak class he could climb up into the 1st. There's still going to be the system knock on him until he gets to the pros and can prove other wise.

Te'o easy top 10 pick. I'd give up picks to move up to have him team up with Cushing as our ILBs. That'd be just sick.

Klein is going to be a project 4th rounder likely, he's got the athleticism you want in a QB, but he's a very unpolished passer at this stage. Would not surprise me to see him land in a place like SF or DC where he could get groomed for picks later.
