I thought any player can be signed by any team off another's practice squad. I.E. signing Dixon to the practice squad doesn't say FU to the Steelers if they want him.

If the Steelers grab him the Ravens has the right to sign him then and there. If they don't he goes to Pitt.

There's a big difference in signing a player off another team's P-squad, the team signing him must keep him on the roster for 3 games, so he's guaranteed a big boost in pay for a few weeks. So suppose they did want Dixon, well now it's gonna cost them more, and he might be able to hang on the Ravens if they want to hurt the Steelers.

David Garrard! His knee is 100% He has a weekly spot on out local Sports talk radio here in Jax. He says is 100% ready. Remember, he was named the Starter in Miami, before the season started, but his knee flared up. He would do quite well on the Steelers..he is moblie and can make plays. Don't be surprised to see another Ex-Jag in there.

Yep, that's the name that jumped off the page for me. I'd be surprised if they went any other way. But then there's that Garcia fella who would put another Hottie in the seats. :kitten:

Who is the most injury prone from that list? Call that guy, give him some cash, and IR him now. Ugly situation in PIT.

I thought Batch would be replacing Leftwhich & Garrard would be coming in just in case.

Rothlesberger will be playing again in a few weeks. The chances of Garrard taking a meaningful snap is nil.

You know, I was wondering because it was about this time last year that Matts Schaub and Leinhart were injured and TJ had to come to the rescue, will the Steelers be able to do what we did last year?
