The Jinx Factor
 

Does anyone else want the media to hush up a bit? All this talk of us being super bowl contenders and the best team in the NFL makes me nervous. This morning 610 was even talking about Schaub being an MVP candidate. I'm probably just suffering from PTSD from my years of abuse as an Oiler fan, let down in the playoffs 7 years in a row but I wish everyone would just chill.

doesn't matter what the media says, this team is ready. I believe the Texans are focused on the next opponent and what they have to do as well. It's like every week they correct the past weeks mistakes but have new one that are minor and don't affect the game. This could be the week they loose but I truly believe what ever any body says, it won't phase this team on accomplishing their goal. They look mean out there.

The important part is, the Media, to my recollection, had never called us SB contenders this far into the season....

Not in the negative sense, no... and to be fair this isn't a religious or philosophical thread on the Bible or the thoughts of Bertrand Russell so we'll keep it that way.... One thing we probably agree on ... Many teams, to some degree or another fear playing the Texans at the moment.. Having said that, the more other teams underestimate us the better!

Problem is, if the national media stops talking about us, there will be 5,000 threads on this board about how the Texans aren't getting any respect. This is a no-win.

The best thing to do is to enjoy the media coverage and attention, but don't take it too seriously.

I don't think it's the media, but our own success that makes other teams fear us. Every team is gonna circle you on the calendar when your record is heavily slanted in the win column

This teams Jinx Factor got burned up in 2010 with the way they lost some games and in 2011 with all the injuries. They are due for some good ....
