Matt Schaub/Denver thread
Don't know if this has been pointed out before or not; probably so, but does anyone else think Matt Schaub looks a little like Jason Statham?

Who said I think either looks good? Only said they resemble each other to me. Are you projecting your feelings maybe?? |

You're right, they do. Just seems like an odd thread to start on gameday. No aggrevation going on today in the NSZ...so I'm bored. :spin: |
Schaub is a MAN, man.
The camera shows Schaub walking to sideline, without his helmet on his head...and he's got this scowl on his face. Not a painful scowl. A pissed off scowl. "Where's my helmet?" he asks, to nobody in particular. Nobody answers him, so Schaub asks a little more forcefully by asking, "Where is my ****ing helmet?" with a more menacing scowl this time.
Dude was pissed. Dude was afraid they were going to take his helmet away so he couldn't play anymore. Dude sits out exactly one play and is back on the second play. Dude is a MAN. Reminded me of his attitude a few years ago at Green Bay when he just would stand in the pocket and get tagged while throwing passes...we gutted out the win vs. Green Bay that day, in a cold ass game in Lambeau. Nobody question that man's toughness. EVER AGAIN. |
Re: Schaub is a MAN, man.
Dutch, I want a quality animated GIF of that moment where Schaub asks "Where is my ****ing helmet?"

I am happy the national viewing audience finally got to witness Schaub is a tough sob. Completely unfair for him to have been typecast as a softie.

:kitten: J/k guys, just kidding. |
I've had my criticisms of Schaub in the past, especially after the Saints game last year. But he's playing the best I've ever seen him play this season. He's taken a step to the next level. I'm glad we locked up his contract.

Re: Matt Schaub/Denver thread
I hate hearing the people say he is injury prone, because every injury he has had was a dirty play that was fined by the league.

He is injury prone. It's just that the term "injury prone" doesn't really cover the situation properly. Lots of things can make a player injury prone and being physically "fragile" (which is how the term is usually taken) is only one of them. Vick is injury prone. The way he plays the game makes him more likely to be hurt. I don't think anyone would really argue with that but nobody calls him injury prone. Well, maybe they didn't used to. Playing in a system that exposes you to more contact can make you injury prone. Not having a good feel for pressure or a very good internal clock can make you injury prone. Standing in and holding on to the ball like Roethlisburger does will eventually make him more likely to be hurt. As he ages he won't be able to get away with it nearly as much. Matt Schaub's career pretty much answers the question. Injuries have been an issue for him. |
