Foster ill leaves practice

Did not see this posted and just found but allegedly nothing to worry about.
Texans running back Arian Foster left practice early today because he wasn’t feeling well.

Apparently there is a bug going around the locker room. Cornerback Jonathan Joseph had it also. Kubiak indicated it wasn’t a big deal.

I had heard that Joseph left game. Also Brahman back from injury.

He needs to eat some meat. It'll grow hair on his chest.

IIRC Joseph had a touch of a flu. I think this happened last season at one point with guys having nausea.

Brahman back from injury could have a significant impact on our special teams this week.

I bet every AF thread from now until kingdom come has a comment about eating meat.

I think we can trust a pro athlete to take care of himself.

Probably had some bad tofu.

He would be better off if he'd just get back to eating meat.

Shave? I'm thinking laser hair removal...Makes you more streamlined.....:worldpeace:

But I know a lot of guys shave their legs. I used to when I played. When you are getting your ankles taped constantly for practice and for games, it just makes your life easier...Pulling all that tape off hairy legs is no fun...

Plus it makes you skin feel nice and silky...

As with all things NFL, we can at least say 'Well at least we aren't Browns fans'

Kellen Winslow's post-game disclosure to The Plain Dealer Sunday that the tight end's mysterious illness was another staph infection stirs another mystery: Why so many?
That makes six key Browns in five years to come down with the ailment. Seven cases total, given that Winslow has contracted the infection twice.

These infections were all wound infections. They were not GI or respiratory infections. Winslow's 2nd mysterious infection occurred following aspiration of a testicular hydrocele, i.e., a needle stuck in the testicular fluid collection to draw the fluid out.

More Kellen Winslow Staph Details Emerge

As staph infection rates in hospitals and in the community (those contracted outside of hospital environment) seem to be increasing due to overuse/inappropriate use of antibiotics (including failure to use antibiotics when they should be used prophylactically), so have the occurrences of such wound infections in athletes.

Winslow is latest chapter in Browns' mysterious staph story

This is especially the case when one who has such an infection (knowingly or not) and shares close quarters, shower facilities, training rooms, etc. Obviously, though, air-borne (respiratory) infections and GI (oral ingestion) infections are just as likely to be easily transmitted through the same shared closed quarter environments.
