Thanksgiving in Detroit
So I'm thinking this will be the game I will travel to this year. Our first thanksgiving game - just can't miss it.
Anyone else plan on making the trip to watch our boys beat up on them lions? :lion: |
Re: Thanksgiving in Detroit
David, trying to add you to the roadtrip Facebook group (for some reason I can't?). It's sole purpose in life is to arrange away game trips. It is what we used to the Balt. trip and has 60 members and growing.
In fact, I'll add anyone planning a road game. Just remember the point of the group is ONLY to discuss things related to road trips. |
Re: Thanksgiving in Detroit
I'll add him when I get home if you are still having problems.

Re: Thanksgiving in Detroit
I'm on a facebook hiatus, so you can't add me right now. Send me the link in a PM.
Thanks! |

Re: Thanksgiving in Detroit
I was wondering the same thing, and since I have never had the desire to Facebook, I guess I would have to find out the old school way, right here... We are thinking about it, it'll be this game or the one in Chicago.

Re: Thanksgiving in Detroit
Looks like airfare is still high. Delta has non-stop flights for $514. United has a flight to Flint, MI - 50 miles away from Detroit for $370

Re: Thanksgiving in Detroit
I'm still thinking about a road trip. I have plenty of time off since I'm retired. BUT, it's a LONG trip. Fond memories of our road trips to Tenn. We had a blast, and with everyone taking a turn at driving we were there before we knew it. I know, a roadie to Detroit would take a couple days, but, it is doable.
|
The only way I would do it is if I plan it before I buy my ticket. I got to get there Wednesday and back on Sunday . This is going to be a blast I will tailgate with some awesome lions and y'all are coming too no matter how you get there

Re: Thanksgiving in Detroit
I'll be there. It's almost a home game for me since I live right across the border.. I hope I can meet a few of you guys there!

Re: Thanksgiving in Detroit
Man... I'm seriously considering this (as it would be much safer than a trip to New Orleans, where Joe does a faceplant and I have no recollection of "the Dungeon" and/or how we got back to the hotel)... The rub is that my family might disown me for missing Thanksgiving Dinner...

Re: Thanksgiving in Detroit
Trying to refrain from posting yet on these threads since every game will be a road game for me except the Titans away game. Who's coming to Nashville to visit me this year?
Anyhow, I will be at the Thanksgiving game.... a perk of being unmarried without kids. You can do and be where ever you want. I'll be more active on the board when training camp starts. Still tired from my 2011 season travels. |
Just talked to The greatest lions fan ever and it is on. Told him he is going to need a big barn to keep us contained

Re: Thanksgiving in Detroit
Just bought my tix on stub hub and booked our hotel! Looking for a tailgate if anyone has the hookup :)
Arriving Wed 11/21 to DTW, leaving 11/23. We are staying at the Milner Hotel (yeah it's a dive, but it's walking distance and CHEAP!). Seats are lower level end zone 119 (97 each on stub hub). Looking for a Tailgate to join into :) |
