Two weeks ago we were 7-3 the Titans were 5-5

Most of us here were pretty confident the Titans wouldn't win out so our division championship was a virtual lock @10-6 or better.

Two games the Titans were sure to lose, was the Buffalo Bills (Dec 4) & the New Orleans Saints (Dec 11).

Well, they beat the Bills & today they play the Saints. The Saints have been playing very well lately, nigh unstopable. But so has CJ2K (yeah, he's back).

If the Titans win today, the pressure is on, because their remaining schedule is a divisional gamut..... & we're in a weak division this year.

The Texans will clinch the division today with a Houston win & Tennessee loss. If Tennessee wins today, we may not clinch till Jan 1

All Houston needs is two wins no matter what Tennessee does. With Carolina & Indy still on the schedule I don't think that Tennessee game will matter.

I'm sick that the game is this close

And a hurt Jimmy Graham changes the dynamic of the offense considerably - we need to stretch the field in the second half.

This game shouldn't be this close and we could easily drop this one.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!

Even if the Texans keep laying an egg in Cincy, it can still be a pretty good day if the Saints eliminate the dumb penalties and start scoring like they normally do.

don't hold your breath...

we just had TWO holding penalties on the punt (it was a touchback, too) for our first possession of the second half - so another penalty to hurt a drive before Brees even takes a snap

we finally get a touchdown and the refs take it away - Graham was pretty clearly in bounds I thought

I thought so too, but the ball rattled around early. I thought Graham secured it in time, but the zebras haven't been kind to the Saints all day.

it wasn't possession, I don't think - I just saw the play in zoom'd slow-mo and one cleat picked up a white blade of grass

please add missed tackles to the ways the Saints are shooting themselves in the foot - 2 on that drive that led to a TD before Locker's run (which was, admittedly, impressive)

this is one of those games where it doesn't feel like it's in the cards, ya know?

The Saints defense had serious lockdown coverage on that last play. Locker improvised and bought a lot of time but still went down when no one could get open. Great defensive play.

Jekyll and Hyde, that defense

i tell ya

we tackle poorly all game, but then Jenkins lays a textbook tackle on CJ to keep him from getting the first down

then we get our second 4th-and-inches stop of the year at/near the end of the game

and our CBs can be lockdown - Greer is perhaps the most underrated CB in the league. Robinson is young, but promising. Porter - risk taker but certainly a strong 3rd CB. Jenkins is a good player.

And yet watching them get torched on wide open plays in prevent defense is just unnerving.

Nice coverage on the slant on the second to last play.

And outstanding coverage everywhere on the last play.

I thought throwing that pass on 3rd down was going to come back and bite us in the ass
