North Shore Football Schedule 08

Did anyone else notice the mustangs' upcoming schedule in the Chronicle today? Look at this..

Quote:

North Shore, which has played only three non-district games per season over the past seven seasons, must play five non-district games in 2008 due to its new six-team district. The five opponents, in order, are defending state-champion Katy, defending District 19-5A champion Eisenhower, 2006 state finalist Cy Falls, perennial 4A state-power La Marque and perennial 5A state-champion Southlake Carroll.

"Of the five teams," Aymond said, "four of them have either won the state title or played for the state title in the last two years. I don't think we need to say anymore about that."

Yikes! Looks like there is a good chance that the 70-0 regular season streak just might end this year. Oh, and the SLC game is on the road.

Good, maybe Pearland can get to the playoffs and not have to worry about Northshore for once. :photos:

Re: North Shore Football Schedule 08

Kind reminds me of the '73 season. Galena Park was loaded with all stars. By the time they made game eight, with all of their injuries, they were a shell of the ranking. We shut them out and beat them pretty good. No way we were the better team on paper. Still a few in Baytown mad about the '68 game.
