*Georgia fans should be happy, Odell Thurman and Max Jean-Giles are likely staying, and reports say Thomas Davis is now leaning towards returning as well. You can't fault anyone for staying and this would be great for the Bulldogs. Davis may reconsider though as he should be the first safety selected. Other SEC players are making their decisions, Tennessee's Jesse Mahelona is staying, while teammate Jason Allen is still deciding.

how come everyone wants to get these tweeners. last year we used a first on babin and have drafted atleast one in the every draft, i say we let these players settle in a give them a chance to prove themselves. i now that there have been post about how risky it is to take a d-line man but we can't get better unless we try. i may be a homer like some of these UT fans, but i say take marcus spears. he has the size to play end in the 3-4 and would give us depth that we need. look at the world champs, they have taken a DT in the first round the last two drafts. this helps them have a great pass rush because they can rotate players in every other drive. if we don't go d-line i would like to go secondary, but that could be tough becasue we wouldn't get the best safty and would have another year with a rookie learning how to play. i don't know about a rb because unless we get one of the auburn rbs (who should be long gone) i would like to wait till the 2nd round because this a rb deep draft. I would like to get another TE with our 2nd rounder, somelike Kevin Everett. he is a freak physically at 6-5 250 and 4.5, but i still have questions about the stones that he calls hands. a center in the 2nd is also a possibility. another homer pick but what about Ben Wilkerson, i know he hurt he knee but he is a hard worker and will be able to return to the field at the same level. |

We have good players that can step into Pollacks position. Moses will start at one end and maybe Charles Johnson at the other. Two senior DT's will help them out. http://www.bullmoosephotography.com/images/20306.jpg |
Ronnie Brown or Marcus Spears

players like Dan Cody and Matt Roth are not lineman, they are linebackers forced into playing end due to their incredible frame and power
Pollack is really the one who reminds me of 93 Babin, Pollack and Roth were all tremendous wrestlers does anyone know if Cody has any wrestling experience? I wouldn't mind all of the front five (line+olb) being wrestlers it seems as these guys have a better understanding of leverage, balance, and momentum while I'm thinking about it, does anyone know anything about Tyler King from UConn? maybe 6 or 7 pick Dvoracek would be a good value at end for us OT - what is powerlifting and what is a good powerlift in pounds? |
well let me ask you this...marcus spears and shaun cody both have similiar measurables...both are ideal for the DE position in the 3-4 defense...but which is better...cody seems to be a little better at the pass rush and spears seems better against the run to me...but which is better for us...seeing our need of a pass rush i'll vote for shaun cody right now...as for dan cody i don't like the guy...i think he is way overrated...and i think he is overhyped from being a OU guy

Dan Cody is really a linebacker
wait til the combine best value at end for the Texans: Dvoracek either end of day one or day two it seem like we have too much dollars on the line already for a first round DE |
