New York media take on Texans' performance
"The momentum appeared to have firmly swung Houston's way on the next Jets drive. Pennington underthrew a pass to Justin McCareins that was intercepted by the rookie cornerback Dunta Robinson, who returned the ball to the Jets' 36.
But the Texans could not capitalize on the prime field position. Two plays later, a David Carr pass was intercepted by cornerback David Barrett.
The play was symbolic of a series of missed opportunities by the Texans, who moved the ball efficiently in the first half but got no farther than the Jets' 49 after halftime"
That is from the NY Times and is certainly a non partisan critique of the Texans' efforts yesterday: the D played well and was opportunistic for 3 quarters of the game, but once again the offense could not take advantage of the opportunities handed to them. Similar to the effort in the GB game
where the D played well but the offense could not capitalize on opportunites.
Is it Carr; do we need a better RB; is it the OL; is it that we need a full-time,
versatile TE in our offense ? But the D is not doing that badly.

Was that before, or after the bong hit?

The defense gave up 29 points and Martin walked all over them. I wouldn't give the D much credit in this game, but you're right about the offense being even worse.
