How the rest of the Season pans out.
This weekend we have the Titans so I'll do a game by game deal of the rest of the season.
Titans - Texans will play their hearts out after a last min. loss earlier in the season. Could quite posibably be a win. I say win Tampa Bay - One of the better teams in the NFC and best in their division. This will most likely be a loss if the Texans don't come ready to play. I say loss but close game Denver - I beleive Kubiak will be ready to show up his old team. This is a very winnable game. I call this a win. Texans ready to show Kubiak what they can do. Colts - By this time Colts should have the division sowed up and possibly home field advantage. If they have this already may be a chance they just don't show up and Texans are able to pull out an upset. I call this a win. To late in the season for Colts to get their players hurt. Jax - Texans always play this team tough and with it being this late in the season and they already have their wild card position may not chance getting any of their top players hurt against a tough Texans team. Another possible win depending on how hurt they want to go into the play offs. I call this a win. Same reason, Jax doesn't want to end up hurting their play off teams This could put us 9 - 7 for the season. Not enough to make the play offs but enough to build on for a strong team next year. This will make other FA's want to come to a Houston team in search of a superbowl ring. |
Re: How the rest of the Season pans out.
yeah i was lookin at the schedule and with dre back... i think 9-7 is possible but i think 8-8 is the most likely to happen... 9-7 if we fire richard and let frank bush take over....

I doubt Indy will have anything sewn up by week 16. The last two weeks look pretty brutal right now.
Beat Possum Holler and finish at least 7 - 9 and I'll be happy at this point. |
Re: How the rest of the Season pans out.
Depends on which Texans team shows up. I feel hat if we come to play for all our remaining games, we can beat any of them. Indy because they may be sitting people, but still. But if we show up poorly, then we could lose every game left.

Re: How the rest of the Season pans out.
maybe hard to beat the colts at home with them channeling crowd noise from other games.

Re: How the rest of the Season pans out.
pullin' for at least 9-7! I want a winning season!!!! but will be ok with 8-8
Tacks----win TB-------win broncs---win colts-----loss jax-------loss :twocents: But wouldn't it be cool to win out!!!!! Boomer did say we were under-rated! :fans: man, 10-6 and no playoffs, that would suck! |

Re: How the rest of the Season pans out.
8-8, and lets play spoiler to our divisional foes...especially the ones from Nashville.
Tenn-win Tampa-up in the air Den-win Indy-loss Jax-loss Jax will be fighting for their playoff spot and Indy will be at home. This weeks game is pivotal for the 8-8 record IMO. |
Re: How the rest of the Season pans out.
The Texans have to learn to be consistent from week to week in something besides turning the ball over. Until they do that, we aren't going to be 9-7.
I would still be happy with 8-8 because at least at that point we are no longer losers. I'm tired of the Texans being losers. |
Re: How the rest of the Season pans out.
Honestly, I think we're looking at 7-9 again.

Re: How the rest of the Season pans out.
If we play like we did last week, we'll be lucky to 6-10. We have a tough schedule ahead of us, that doesn't get any easier as time goes on. I think we could beat the Titans, mainly because they have becoem far worse than their record would indicate. However, we play Tampa Bay, Denver, Indy, and Jax. How the hell do we expect to beat any of these teams playing like we did in Cleveland? Seriously, if that's the sort of football we're going to play...then 7-9 would be a blessing from Christ himself.

For a team that does well after we have some rest... I'm not looking forward to us playing 3 games in 12 days.

But I hate to say it, I'm done with sipping koolaide this year. I can't help but feel that I should not expect anything from this team because they are inconsistent from week to week. Good teams take momentum and let it build, while the Texans cannot get past the three-wins-in-a-row hurdle. I think this season will most likely be a 7-9 or 8-8 due to the injuries and inconsistencies. I don't see us beating Indy or the Jags right now, but I could be pleasantly surprised. After all, a 4-10 team beat the mighty Colts last Christmas Eve! |
Re: How the rest of the Season pans out.
Titans are not going to lose 4 in a row coming back home. No way. The defense will shore things up and VY will stick to the Texans again.
I think the Tampa and Denver games are winnable, but they will lose one in a heart breaker. I think they will also beat either the Colts or Jags but not both. I say Jags b/c it will be the last home game of the year, Texans will be coming off a loss on the road, and the Jags will be resting for the playoffs. Plus we beat the Jags at least once every year right. 7-9 again, but will be fine with that considering the injuries and the way things were headed after beating the Dolphins. |

L L L L L 5-11. Move down and draft the OLT and then the corner. Should of been done long ago. Untill we do it, beef up the o-line, we're always going to be caught up in this vortex of loosing. |
Re: How the rest of the Season pans out.
I predicted 8-8 before the season began and I'm liking my odds. I think 8-8 to 9-7 depends on Jacksonville. We will win our next three, then prolly lose to Indy and it will come down to Jacksonville.
