Man, I was going to boycott Madden this year for a lot of reasons, but it looks like it's going to be a beast of a football game. It's going to be a tough decision, because All Pro Football 2k8, while nice, just doesn't fit the bill.

Where's the Madden commercial with Mario talking about being the first pick?

Madden and EA Sports can kiss my white a$$ for ripping on the Texans.

Not 100% sure how VY feels about that. I saw that a month or so ago the first time. Just seems weird to have your coverboy getting sacked to start the promo video.

Hilarious. A while back I wrote this:

EA Sports Hates the Houston Texans

Then I tracked down the Madden PR flack of EA Sports, and showed him that blog post and added a little umph to it. Asking him in so many word why EA Sports was intentionally sticking it in the face of Texans fans, fans in the 4th most populated city in America. And more. Firm and polite, but a little ugly.

The PR guy got super apologetic. I wrote about it in this follow up blog post:

What I wrote didn't nearly convey how apologetic they were.

So yeah, I can't prove that the email and blog posts had anything to do with the can of virtual whoopass that Mario unleashed at the beginning of that ad, I'm going to take credit for it. At least in my heart.

Just because the Texans haven't won yet, doesn't mean that we as Texans fans can't unleash our own can of whoopass when folks cross the line. :cowboy1:

I play the hell out of Madden, usually I can only play during the week though. Maybe a couple of games after work. The weekends are spent watching college and pro football, so not much time for Madden, but Saturday before bed, I try to sneak in a game or so.
