here is something to get you fired up
Chargers at Texans: I'm not sure that San Diego RB LaDainian Tomlinson will have a monster game, but you've obviously got to play him ... Chargers TE Antonio Gates is a player people have been talking about, and I think he'll be a factor ... The Texans have looked awful in the preseason both offensively and defensively. Perhaps the only player worth going with from Houston is WR Andre Johnson, who is going to be a big-time player ... If RB Domanick Davis is healthy, he might be worth playing. Gill Brandt nfl.com
did he even watch any of our games? doubtful!! |

Surprisingly, Gil didn't watch the Cowgirl game. The Texans didn't look "awful" in that game.
Once a Cowgirl, always a Cowgirl...right Mr. Brandt? |
I agree word for word with Porky. The defense really hasn't shown me we are ready to go to the next level just yet but maybe this year our offense makes the kind of plays that keeps our defense off the field more and contributes when the defense is playing well.

honestly, preseason was a showing of our soon to be potent offense. i dont think our starting defense showed a whole lot though. but i know they will throw all sorts of formations at the chargers offense and hopefully that can slow them down. after a few series they will gel a bit better and know each other tendencies. im looking for our defense to be great after the first couple of games in time for kc and the vikings. |

good post Pork. I agree we do need another year or two of drafts and defensive gelling. But we will be better this year. The offense will score more and the defense will be on the field less. That will help us in almost every stat that you can envision.
|
I don't think it is all that bad that the media and some of the other teams are not expecting anything from us this year, it will just be more of a shock when we start handing out the ***** whippins...

I've been having some fun with them the past couple of days if they weren't so crazy, I would give them props for staying behind their team, but they must all be high though, saying how their no-name, talentless WRs are gonna burn Dunta deep all game long |
lol ya their "young talented WR corps"
|
Shhh! We are trying to sneak up on them and bop 'em on their heads!! HAHAHAHAA
|
It will be nice if we could just dominate the time of possession and win this game.

somehow SD fans think LT is going to run well behind 2 rookie OL men. please, when was the last time an offense started 2 rookies on the OL and the running back ran like he did with a veteran line. i know LT is good and all, but you can't run if the OL doesn't open up holes for you. even without Payne, the Texans have 2 veteran probowl caliber DEs and add sharper behind that and wham. no way san diego. you're on the down and the Texans are on the up. the only big problem i see is if SD throws alot of screens to LT which could open up some bigger plays, but still i thinkl the Texans have been working in practice to stop that.

Texan84, that 2nd quote is just hilarious. With all that "impervious intellect", he still can't even write legibly.

Didn't Gil Brandt attend school with George Washington
He was still with Cowboys in 1980's when they did hardkly right winning or drafting, I put his opinion right up their with a 3 year old (ok that was mean...my apologies 3 year old didn't mean to insult you). :thumbdown
