ESPNews reports the Oakland Raiders have released veteran FS Rod Woodson (knee) after he failed his physical with the team.
Will be interesting to see if he hangs it up or gets some team to take a flyer on him.

I believe he will hang it up. Talk out of Oakland was that Buchanon was signed mainly because of the concern about Woodson's knee. Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but Denver released LB Mobley because he failed his physical too (neck). Sad to see a guy go out like that, but it seems as though the injury will effectively end his career.

Really because they are hurt does that mean that they can't play. I mean seriously, look what this guy has done. I hope the best for him.

It's not that he can't still play. It's that he can't play to the level he has for most of his career. Also, there are other players in better shape and more capable of playing the game physically so teams won't waste a roster spot.

Someone will pick up an injury in training camp, preseason or early in the year and he will find a role.

He will have to take a huge paycut for a team to take a chance on him.
