Thank you TJ for leading the most famous drive in Texans' history, and backing it up with a playoff win.

He won't be jobless for long, I'm sure...

Interesting.

Yates would seem to have suited the 'OB QB type' more than Keenum.

Mcnair doe own this team, Keenum helps sell tickets, you can believe he believes that !

Apparently Gary is backing up Flacco in addition to
being OC..

"Baltimore could be a potential landing spot for Yates. Former Texans head coach Gary Kubiak, who drafted Yates, is now the Ravens offensive quarterback."

Considering they've sold out every home game they've ever played, I'm not so sure that any one player is helping sell more tickets. And if there was, guys like Watt or AJ would be the ones bringing people to the games more than Case would be.

It was just a theory, but like it or not Case is one of the most popular backups in houston. I'm sure his jersey has had pretty good sales as well.

It's that weak willed head coach we got, caving in to the demands of the millions of UH alumni.

NFL teams share profits from the sale of jerseys.

...Read bottom to top.

John McClain @McClain_on_NFL

Keenum learned a lot during his 8 starts. He'll be better cause of those experiences and cause offensive players are healthy again.

As a starter in '13, Keenum had 7 TDs and 0 INTs in first 3 starts. Then injuries deciated offense, and he struggled as defenses adjusted.

I expect Keenum to be even better in camp and preseason this year. He's a gamer. He'll impress the coaches when he gets a chance.

I'm happy for Case Keenum. Nobody works harder or is more respected. He tore it up in camp and preseason last year.

Re: Twitterr saying Texans release Yates

OB went with the "team" guy, and did right by Yates by releasing him as soon as he knew he wanted to to allow TJ to get on with another club. Integrity. (Not to be misconstrued as a negative on Yates, just that imo Case's intangibles aligned more with the vision OB has for this team/organization.)

Could you elaborate Playoffs ? You suggesting that Yates was not a "team guy", and how does Keenum have superior intangibles to Yates ? Not being argumentative here, just curious on your thinking process ?
