Heya, go to 'user cp', chose 'edit ignore list' (or something like that) then type in his name. I'm pretty sure there is a way to enter his profile and chose ignore from there, but I have not found it yet :)
Sounds like a good time growing up there...lol. I think many of your neighbors are still there. Families seem to stay put there with the big Christmas displays and all. We have a massive Oak in our front yard. Has to be one of the biggest in the neighborhood.
