I saw the very first UofH SWC game live in 1976 (I believe I have the year right). My Church took us all up to Waco on one of those old Church converted School Buses and I had the pleasure of watching the Danny Davis led Cougars beat the Baylor Bears in the Cougars inaugural SWC game. The Coogs got in at the end before the entire thing blew up as the teams were all ratting each other and the Conference lost all credibility...sad ending for a once great College football conference.

Need some help. Was talking about the old Soithwest conf. and the Cotton Bowl. Was the U. of Houston ever in the conf? I remember Yoman running the vear and having a good team. I could only come up with 7 teams. Ark. Baylor. SMU, TCU. Texas, A&M, and Texas Tech. Was there another?
