How do you grade our fourth 6th round pick?

For 6th round pick, it's the best the Texans can get.

Tyler Bray and Zach Dysert still on the board and they take a guy who is likely a UDFA.

This was just OK to me. There was some talent on the board I would have preferred.

D, other talent on board that has a chance of contributing.

Good project to learn behind OD. Shows potential.

Their lack of attention to this prospect is a reflection of the sheer ignorance that the national media has when it comes to this prospect. No one has games posted of this Connecticut tight end Ryan Griffin, once considered a good – if not top-tier – prospect at his position at the end of 2011.

I don’t know what changed, but if you ask me, it’s a draft-season injustice. I know quite a few tape hounds agree with me. Dane Brugler is a prominent witness ready to testify. I wouldn’t even need to call him to the stand. He’d be shouting it from the cheap seats of the courtroom.

I've seen him a few times; he looks like a solid all around player like I said in another thread. I need to watch more of his tapes to sort through the competition though.

Thanks for posting that.

Gave me a bit more insight. I'm starting to get excited about this guy. Big body, good mobility and he's a fluid pass catcher. Lining up out wide, avoiding DB's after the catch, making tightrope sideline catches...

I'm excited to see this guy in action and he was a guy that I was initially "meh" about.

Here's a clip of him catching a short pass, making a safety miss, and outrunning the rest of the secondary on his way to a 74 yard touchdown: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cR7A_I4bP3I

I want to see what this guy looks like in pre season.

Those are either the slowest DB's in college football or Griffen's 40 time is just jacked up. They weren't even reeling him in.

Grade B
Good developmental prospect that, IMO, may or may not make it in the NFL.
Good size but lack some fluidity.

76 I don't think you graded any pick less than a B- for this year.

Well, I've never done draft grade before, so maybe I'm a little lenient.

On the other hand, I try not think of a guy that I may prefer slightly over the picks for any reason. Just trying to be in the Texans shoes, you know, as much as possible.
