RT @joshvanklomp Where is #Tennessee WR Justin Hunter on the drop rate list? ... Didn't make the top 15. 2012 drop rate was 12.1%.

RE: Those Drop Rates. Those are Top 15. Just because WRs are toward bottom, doesn't mean they dropped a lot of balls. Those are the BEST 15.

Nice little stat.

Some "drop" are different than "others" though, just to keep in mind.

What am I missing here? Chart shows Dobson had 92 targets but ESPN says 57.
Quinton Patton 104 not 158 - 14 (9%)= 144.

What's up?

Dobson and Patton had 57 and 104 receptions, respectively. Not targets, which are pass attempts directed to a receiver.

It is a misleading stat because you don't know for sure whether the targets are bubble screens at the LOS or a deep slant over the middle with a safety bearing down. Doesn't tell the whole story.

Ace Sanders had zero drop because the ball was always out of his reach.
