Here is a guy that I am high on a a deep sleeper

He is 6'3 230 reminds me a little of Brandon Marshall

Just a year ago he had 44reps for 829yds a whooping 19.6 yds per catch.

He is from Rutgers and looks the part to follow Sanu and Britt

He has great Size and Speed combination

Broken foot stopped him from working out at the combine

His pro day results were 4.37 40, 17reps on the bench, 39inch vert, 4.33 shuttle, 6.99 cone, and a 10'9 broad jump.

This guy has all the tools and measurables to be an elite WR

He just needs to be coached up and groomed

He is a project but if he works on his hands and route tree this will be a massive steal.

Baltimore sure knows how to pick them

Baltimore selects... Mark Harrison, WR, Rutgers

I hope the Texans take him late. I think the Bucs will snag him though knowing coach Greg Schiano prolly wants his guy

76Texan
04-15-2013, 09:51 AM
Harrison is one of the guys I like; it would have been nice if the Texans had 3 comp picks in the sixth like we were hoping for at one point. :mariopalm:

At #204 the Kansas City Chiefs take Lavar Edwards-DE/OLB from LSU. This guy is currently ranked as a 3rd round prospect but somehow he got overlooked and fell to the bottom of the 6th = great value.

Headed to work, 76Texan has my list for my next pick.

I can see that happening and they are shopping Albert around right now but I can't see them using that 2nd on another OT. I don't think they'd want to be starting 2 rookie OT's protecting their new FA QB. I think if they trade Albert they can pick up Andre Smith in FA for less than they were paying Albert and then spend that 2nd somewhere else, maybe a TE like Ertz.

If they can move Albert, Ertz or McDonald could very well be a future Chief.

I dont know much about Rice other TE (Wilson) but he's a big dude that runs like the wind. The Texans could do worse than taking a flier on a guy like that in the 6-7th rd.

With the 209th pick in the NFL Mock Draft the Arizona Cardinals select Micheal Mauti, LB Penn St.

If Mauti hadn't torn his ACL last yr, he would've been a 1st rd pick. He's a hard worker who will make it back. Smart, instinctive playmaker.

Cardinals draft
1. Lane Johnson OT Oklahoma
2. Larry Wafford OG Kentucky
3. Tyler Bray QB Tennesse
4. Brian Schwenke C California
5. Micheal Williams TE Alabama
6. Cooper Taylor S Richmond
7. Micheal Mauti LB Pedophile St.

The Cards have too many holes to fill in 1 draft. They did add 3 10 yr starters to their OL to help keep Palmer healthy, QB of the future, (My #1 QB Bray) The best blocking TE in the draft, (Arians likes to run alot of 2 TE sets)

Taylor is a big, fast physical, smart S. 6th Rd is a good time to take a flier on a guy with Cooper's talent. If Mauti can make it back from injury and Washington can quit smoking the weed, the Cards will have the best young set of ILB's in the NFL.

With the 215th pick the NY Jets select Daimion Stafford, FS, Nebraska

Stafford is a smooth athlete with the flexibility and foot speed to accelerate in a flash and blow up plays with his aggressive attitude. He uses his eyes well with the football awareness to break down the action and waste little time making accurate reads in both run and pass coverage. Former Nebraska linebacker Lavonte David was another JUCO transfer and became a second round pick after two seasons in Lincoln. Stafford isn't at the same level as David, but will try and follow that same path.

Wouldn't touch him. It's hard to justify his talent on the field with all of his faults off of it. Just not worth it. I don't really consider smoking weed to be a serious crime, but 10 failed drug tests is a sign that he just doesn't care. Not exactly a guy you want to give millions of dollars to.

Six teams down, four to go. Mathieu will be in the desert Friday visiting the Arizona Cardinals. Monday, he'll meet with the Cincinnati Bengals. Sit-downs with the Houston Texans and Seattle Seahawks follow.

This article was written on the 14. So he supposed to be here this week I assume. Might as well cancel that sit down. What an idiot!

You really want to protect your investment at QB, don't you? :bravo:

Pedophile, LOL!

Yep

Any team that has 3 ten yr starters on the OL + Massie and Brown will be good for yrs to come. If you play in the NFC West you better have a good OL. If you cant fix all of a team in one yr. You fix you OL, especially if they were as bad as the Cards OL was last yr.

What makes me really happy with this draft is I got really Good/Great players at positions of need.

The Rams belive Bradford will be a franchise QB, he just needs more weapons. Not saying that I agree with that. But your mock certainly helps in that regard.

Palmer is a huge upgrade for the Cards. He would be a placeholder for my #1 QB. (Bray) With the OL fixed, atleast whoever is the QB of the future will have a chance to be successful.

Should we start discussing the Steelers pick for Earl?

Steelers' picks so far: 2 DTs, DE, OLB, FB, RB, WR

With just one pick left, the Steelers have to choose among these positions:
S, ILB, CB, OG, QB

The remaining safeties from the big schools with good productions are:

Brandan Bishop (N.C.St.) who formed a solid duo with Earl Wolff.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2q8NI3C2ek
He had 12 career Ints as compared to 6 for Wolff.
He also recorded 20career PBUs

Rahard Hall, Clemson
14 carreer INts, 8 PBUs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kgfv7Ee44ok&playnext=1&list=PL768FA6980B4F5D0B&feature=results_main
Clemson has been churning out NFL DBs lately.

Spreadsheet is up to date. Just an FYI, we have picked 31 more offensive players than defensive. There have been zero kickers taken so far.

Total 221
Offense 126
Defense 95

WR is the most picked position so far at 28, followed by CB at 24, OLB 22 and Safety 22.

The Washington Redskins 2013 Mock Draft

Rd.2 David Amerson, CB/S, North Carolina St.
Rd.3 Shamarko Thomas, S, Syracuse
Rd.4 Reid Fragel, OT, Ohio St.
Rd.5 Duke Williams, S, Nevada
Rd.5 Sanders Cummings, CB/S, Georgia
Rd.6 Ty Powell, DE/OLB, Harding
Rd.7 Jeff Baca, OG, UCLA

The Redskins objectives were to improve their secondary. I used the Bill Walsh theory draft several talented DB's that can play multiple positions and let the best man win.

They also needed to upgrade the RT position. I have Fragel as my 6th rated OT and he has the ability to step in and become a starter his rookie yr. Baca fits very well in the Skins ZBS scheme. He provides good depth. Baca is comparable to Ben Jones. A great value in Rd.7.

Powell is a raw pass rusher, but he has the natural ability to become a force in a couple of yrs. He was a late invite to the Sr. Bowl, and certainly didn't look like he was in over his head. Steal of Rd.6

The New Orleans Saints 2013 Draft

Rd.1 Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
Rd.3 Akeem Spence, DT, Illinois
Rd.4 Bacarri Rambo, S, Georgia
Rd.5 Jelani Jenkins, OLB Florida
Rd.6 Ryan Otten, TE, San Jose State

For having only five picks, I see a potentially explosive pass rusher, a solid albeit unsung DT, a solid safety, and a sleeper at TE. Gambling on Jenkins' injury history but if it pays off, the dividends will be good. My plan is to push Jenkins inside, though, like he was at Florida. I don't think Vilma is their man after making the switch from 4-3 to 3-4.

You made the best of the picks that were available. Gotta have LB's/Pass rushers in a 3/4 defense. (You got 2 that have great/good potential) Rambo is definitely a an upgrade to the current Saints S position. Sleeper picks in Spence and Otten have an above avg chance of contributing next yr.

Good Job

I don't know much about your round 6 round 7 picks, but wow, for lack of a 1st rounder that is a very solid defensive draft. Amerson is solid with great upside and I'm very high on Shamarko Thomas. Fragel is a definite sleeper who can become a good lineman in the NFL. I also like the fact that you drafted Williams and Cummings to shore up and provide competition (and let the best man win).

Redskins defense will have a huge boost because of this. Loaded offense + recharged defense... Given a good draft I can pencil them in as favorites in their division, if not already.

This deep in the draft and still the possibility of an impact player. Safety skills , LBer size. Could be the guy you plug in next to Cushing on passing downs where Quin was last season with the exception that he has the size to match up with the big TE's. An asset in the redzone on those jump ball situations against the taller recievers.

Chris Gragg, Arkansas (Tight End) - Browns need a TE that can catch and Gragg is the one that fits the bill and is on the board. Needs to work on bulking up and getting stronger but as far as fighting for the ball and making plays, he does that really well.

Sweet pick. Could play joker for us. Cover the Hernandez/Gronk types.

Ever since Phillips came to the Texans with his three safety sets , Ive wanted a guy who was a hybrid Safety / Linebacker to play the role that Quin did the past two years for the Texans. Dexter McCoil fits that description physically and has the skillset to boot .... whether or not it translates to the NFL is a different story .... more a theory Ive had than anything else.

Recap of Philadelphia Eagles 2013 TT Mock Draft:

1. Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
2. Jonathan Jenkins, NT, Georgia
3. Corey Lemonier, OLB, Aurburn
4. William Gholston, DE, Michigan State
5. Jordan Hill, DE, Penn State
7a. Michael Ford, RB, LSU
7b. Tanner Hawkinson, OT, Kansas
7c. Joe Vellano, DE, Maryland
7d. Brandan Bishop, S, NC State

The Eagles are moving to a 3-4 defense and an up-tempo Chip Kelly style of play.

Losses:

CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
CB Nnamdi Asomugha
DT Cullen Jenkins
DT Mike Patterson
LB Akeem Jordan
OT Demetress Bell
OG Jake Scott
OT King Dunlap
DE Darryl Tapp
DT Derek Landri
RB Dion Lewis (traded to Cleveland)

They lost alot of playing time along their defensive line and at cornerback. They also got rid of some of the offensive linemen that filled in for their FOUR injured starting offensive linemen last season.

Additions:

CB Cary Williams
CB Bradley Fletcher
CB Dee Milliner*
NT Isaac Sopoaga
NT Jonathan Jenkins*
OLB Connor Barwin
OLB Corey Lemonier*
OLB Emmanuel Acho (traded with Cleveland)
S Kenny Phillips
S Patrick Chung
S Brandan Bishop*
TE James Casey
QB Dennis Dixon
WR Arrelious Benn
ILB Jason Phillips
DE Clifton Geathers
DE William Gholston*
DE Joe Vellano*
DE/NT Jordan Hill*
P Donnie Jones
RB Michael Ford*
OT Tanner Hawkinson*

*rookie

The Eagles needed a corner to start alongside Cary Wiliams that is better than Bradley Fletcher. Milliner allows Fletcher to compete with second year players Brandon Boykin and Trevard Lindley at nickelback. Jonathan Jenkins gives the Eagles a healthy rotation at NT. The Eagles have Brandon Graham at OLB to be a 3rd OLB and hopefully replace Trent Cole in the future. Corey Lemonier can compete with Vinny Curry, Everette Brown, Emmanuel Acho, Chris McCoy, and Phillip Hunt at OLB.

Gholston, Hill, and Vellano are a nice group of 3-4 DEs to help with the transition of the Eagles' defensive line. They will need to add bodies that can compete with a group that is not only lacking in depth and talent but in schematic fit as well. Michael Ford can be a 3rd or 4th running back with the loss of Dion Lewis. Tanner Hawkinson is decent depth at OT for a 7th rounder. Brandan Bishop should make the team at safety, given how terrible the Eagles were at safety this past season.

I wish I could have done a better job of getting depth at OL, but never felt the value was good enough early on except at #4. The Eagles had alot of injuries along their OL last year and should be alot better this year just by getting healthy.

Seattle is up, 2 picks in a row...Blake is a group pick now so...

I'd go Javon Brown, WR, Clemson and Zac Stacy, RB, Vanderbilt.

Brown is a 4.35 kind of guy that lost playing time to Sammy Watkins, DeAndre Hopkins and a host of other talented players. Stacy was a big part of some of the better Vanderbilt teams in awhile. He tested well with a 4.55 and 27 reps on the bench.

Seattle needs a receiver and could use a RB as well.

They already drafted a receiver, but when I saw that it was Dennard Robinson, well... I guess another receiver to compete isn't going to hurt.

I vote Stacy and Bishop, but I can change to Brown.

I said 4.35, because I remember reading that at some point, but it looks like he ran closer to 4.43. Reports ranged from low 4.3 to 4.43. The 40 numbers were really unreliable this year both at the combine and in the pro days.

With pick #244 the Falcons select Lonnie Pryor FB Florida State.

I was hoping he would fall to the Texans. Lonnie Pryor was a 4* running back coming out of high school that came to Florida State with 2 or 3 other 4* running backs. He was asked to move to fullback early on, just to see the field. He went on to be a great and versatile fullback for 4 years. Great blocker and receiver, pretty good runner in the ZBS. He caught 5 TDs on 41 receptions in his career, also ran for 18 TDs on 124 carries (5.8 YPC). He was constantly praised by head coach Jimbo Fisher for his willingness to move to the position and his work ethic. He called Pryor his "glue guy."

6' 227 lbs, ran a 4.70. Played in 54 games. Did not miss a game.

Could be a backup FB/4th RB/ST guy for the Texans.

Morgan Breslin, LB, USC

Like Cushing Breslin has seen time at DE and OLB but prolly best suited a ILB in a 34 defense

Would love Wing and Sturgis but we are set there with Lechler and Bullock.

I think Tate and Breslin can be special backers
He is a Huge safety, add 10 more pounds on his frame and he has the speed on the edge to be a rush backer. And he can cover from the outisde positions and has the size and speed to run and cover the evolving utility of TEs

Breslin I just love. Not as good as Cushing but there are similar triats

I think he'd be a very good late round pick for the Texans. He didn't get used much in college but New Mexico's passing game was a hot mess this season. His numbers, athleticism, and the fact his brother is on the team tells me that he's worth the minimal risk.

1. Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
2a. Cornelius "Tank" Carradine, DE, Florida State
2b. Darius Slay, CB, Mississippi State
3a. Blidi Wreh-Wilson, CB, Connecticut
3b. Dallas Thomas, OT/OG, Tennessee
4. Travis Kelce, TE, Cincinnati

5b. Andre Ellington, RB, Clemson
7a. Dalton Freeman, C/OG, Clemson
7b. Philip Lutzenkirchen, TE , Auburn
7c. Brandon Ford, TE, Clemson

I had fun with this one. The Dolphins have so many needs and so many draft picks to fill them with. They will likely end up trading one of their second rounders for OT Albert or sign Winston if that trade fails.

They need to upgrade their pass rush and DE rotation desperately. Werner and Carradine are good additions. Wilson and Slay are also good prospects at corner to replace the loss of Smith and Davis. I like the offensive lineman I was able to get. Both guys add depth to the interior of the line. Thomas may actually end up at LT.

It might seem odd to take 3 TEs but Miami needs both blocking and receiving TEs. Kelce could be an everydown starter, along with Dustin Keller. Lutzenkirchen and Ford were both solid college TEs. I wanted to completely change their TE group.

Andre Ellington should contribute some right away after the Dolphins lost Reggie Bush. Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas will fight for that starting job. Tavarres King is a nice little 5th round receiver to add to a weak group.

I wish I could have done better at OT and at WR, but I didn't want to reach for a OT when I was pretty sure the Dolphins would go after a vet.

I just wanted to thank everybody who participated in this yrs TT Mock Draft. I appreciate the time that some of the best and brightest mockers spent to make this yrs mock a success. Very few MB's have members that will contribute to a full 7 rd mock.

I hope it was as much fun for y'all as it was for me. This mock helps give the entire MB a sense of where certain players should be valued. It is a guide for people who dont follow the draft as closely as we do.

I would like to give a special thanks to 76, Dutch and Blake for helping me with this. Without them I doubt the draft would've been a success. As work has become hectic.

Hope everybody had a good time and will continue to participate next yr.

Thanks

Jay

Dolphins draft:

1. Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
2a. Cornelius "Tank" Carradine, DE, Florida State
2b. Darius Slay, CB, Mississippi State
3a. Blidi Wreh-Wilson, CB, Connecticut
3b. Dallas Thomas, OT/OG, Tennessee
4. Travis Kelce, TE, Cincinnati
5a. Tavarres King, WR, Georgia
5b. Andre Ellington, RB, Clemson
7a. Dalton Freeman, C/OG, Clemson
7b. Philip Lutzenkirchen, TE , Auburn
7c. Brandon Ford, TE, Clemson

I had fun with this one. The Dolphins have so many needs and so many draft picks to fill them with. They will likely end up trading one of their second rounders for OT Albert or sign Winston if that falls through.

That right there is a great draft. 7-8 contributors as rookies, Ireland can only hope to do that well. Kelce/King/Ellington/Lutzenkirchen all have a chance to contribute in varying degrees as rookies. That's quite a haul for that late in the draft.

I just wanted to thank everybody who participated in this yrs TT Mock Draft. I appreciate the time that some of the best and brightest mockers spent to make this yrs mock a success. Very few MB's have members that will contribute to a full 7 rd mock.

Seconded. I can't believe we actually made it through all the picks! Pretty cool, as I don't think that has happened before. Usually things die out around the 5th-6th round. Anyways, thanks everyone for participating and keeping it moving along. Enjoy the real draft on Thursday night!

4th'd!

Yeah , thanks for all the effort that went into this exercise. Happy to have participated for the first time since we moved to this site.

I think we learned quite a bit about some players as well as the perception of specific positions and how we +/- value them.

It''ll be interesting to see if the NFL GM's look at those positions (WR , DT , ILB , OLB and RT) they way many uf us seem to , some of which I believe is fueled by the Texans needs almost as much as the needs of those other teams.

I'm on my phone, so it's hard to see who's been taken...

That said, with the final pick of the draft the colts select WR Rodney Smith, Florida state. 6'5" 225 lbs, 4.43 forty. Good athleticism, good body control. Will contribute a bit for the colts immediately and will be this years Marques colston.

Might be a good player for the texans to consider late in the actual draft.

I signed him as a UDFA

Very good late pick. I really hope the Texans take a hard look at him for the 6th or 7th round or sign him as an UDFA. I think he'd be worth putting on the IR list with an aggravated hangnail so that he can work out but we can still protect him.

Thank You to 76Texan, Dutchrudder, Blake, and SteelBTexan for running a great mock. It gets tough in the 6th and 7th rounds. You guys did a great job.

He caught a pass in 39 straight games for the Noles to end his career and was given the most unselfish offensive player award by the coaching staff.

My thanks to all. I enjoyed it though I wish I wasn't so pressed for time. I made a couple of mistakes rushing but at the end of the day I don't think I did the Jets wrong, too much.

Rep to the great folks that ran the show ASAP.

Sure:

SEC - 69 - 4.928
PAC 12 - 37 - 3.083
ACC - 34 - 2.833
Big 12 - 22 - 2.2
Big East - 17 - 2.125
Big 10 - 22 - 1.833

Thanks, Dutch.

The Big Eeast has a good number of prospects per school; it's a little surprising that they are above the Big 10 and pretty close to the Big 12.

^ Cool. If you want, there's a relatively easy way to do that analysis on the draft spreadsheet. If I make a column on the end and put actual draft position next to each players name, I could have a formula that subtracts actual pick from the TT mock pick. Would give a result that could be sorted by so you can see who were our biggest reaches and best values. Then add it all up to see who has the highest score :)

K, I added a column on the end of Draft5 for the actual position. If you or anyone else would be willing to help fill it out as the draft moves along, I'll copy it to the protected sheet and set up the formulas later. I just need the data to get it going.

The Dolphins select....

Dallas Thomas, OG, Tennessee

Thomas played left tackle, then switched to left guard in his final year at Tennessee. He tore his labrum and had surgery in February of this year, so he probably won't be available and up to speed until mid-season, but he could replace John Jerry or Richie Incognito in the next few seasons. If not, maybe the Dolphins try him at left tackle? Seems like good versatility for a player that may need it with Jonathan Martin's transition from RT to LT.

This was pick #82 in the third round.

The Dolphins picked Thomas at #77, not #82. They traded #82 to NO for two 4th rounders.

It wasn't exact, but close!

What do you need done?

Go to the Draft5 sheet, and in the far right column put the overall number that the player was drafted in the actual NFL draft. If they were undrafted, just put undrafted in the column. We can figure out a value to assign those guys later. I did a few for example, but if I can get them all in there, I can do a draft "score" for everyone easily.

He went undrafted. LOL

I still think eventually he will be the #1 QB in this draft.
