I think I am still picking for the Giants in place of htownfan32.

I have a few choices to narrow down still.

What game film are you watching if this guy? I have watched the Nebraska and Alabama game where he supposedly played really well and he didn't stand out to me. Of course it was hard to key on him because they move him around a lot.

Washington is still more on potential than the real thing.
Late in the third round, it's a fair spot for him, I would think.
For some reason, I want to project him at ILB.
Right now he doesn't look real comfortable on the line for me.
His get-off is rather poor or inconsistent.
He doesn't do a very good job running the arc (unless it's against lesser competition) and therefore isn't effective to counter that with an inside move.
When he play inside, his inconsistent get-off doesn't allow him to penetrate very well. And he's also poor at using his arms.

I'd love to see him at ILB, but I don't know how he will handle coverage.
With Cushing, even though he wasn't used much in coverage at USC, I felt (at the time) and had said as much, that I believe he just needs a lot of reps.
I recall him struggling against Dallas Clark in his rookie year, and looked lost many times in zone defense.

I just want to see Washington in coverage some to gauge his ability.
With the way he tested, I think he can handle most RBs and some TEs here and there. He might need a year, year and a half - Cushing needed some time, too.
So I think it's possible.

With two big fast guys in the middle, I think this defense can go far.

Washington needs to learn to play more aggressive as well.

But that's why he's only a late third round pick here.

Dallas selects....
Tony Jefferson, S, Oklahoma
Roy Williams v2.0

Very good in the box tackler
Like a xtra LBer
Can cover but is limited in that ability

I think Jefferson is one of the better safeties in the draft
Tremendous value here as he can be a starter for Dallas
At worse a solid bench player and a stand out special team player

Slam dunk pick

Giants select Matt Summer Gavin, OG, California.

MSG played LG, but was moved to LT then RT out of necessity.
He isn't the quickest guy on the block and can have difficulty with the speed rusher off the edge.
He should be better in short area.
Play with a mean streak.

With the 153rd pick in the 2013 TT Mock Draft, da Bears select:

Matt Scott, QB, Arizona
Height: 6-3. Weight: 196. Hand: 9.08 40 Time: 4.69

http://binaryapi.ap.org/8941f60bb4b44e1e9538f02a2adb70ac/512x.jpg

The Bears lost Jason Campbell in free agency, and they need a backup QB to develop behind Cutler. This is a nice spot to pick a backup QB because it's low risk and he will be much cheaper than paying for one in free agency.

Da Bears draft so far:
20 20 Chicago - Dutchrudder - Xavier Rhodes CB Florida State ACC
20 50 Chicago - Dutchrudder - Justin Pugh OG Syracuse* SEC
20 117 Chicago - Dutchrudder - Kevin Reddick ILB North Carolina ACC

With the 155th pick the Vikings select:

Marquess Wilson, WR, Washington State

The Vikings need some more targets for Ponder to see if he really has the tools to make it in the NFL. At this point Wilson is great value. I tend to buy more into his side of the story than the coaches and think that he has his head together for the NFL. Though he is not NFL ready yet in terms of size/strength, few are in the 5th round. I think he can develop into a strong number two in a few years, and can contribute situationally right away.

Vikings Draft so far:
23 23 Minnesota Keenan Allen WR California
25 25 Minnesota Kevin Minter ILB LSU
22 52 Minnesota Sylvester Williams DT UNC

Very strong draft

I tend to side with Leach though. Wilson was the man and used to getting his way. Leach comes in tries to change a culture of losing and Wilson wants no part of what Leach was selling.

Thanks! This is the first time I've actively tried something like this and I think it's going well. It's nice to know others do to!

There's definitely some truth there. Wilson isn't my first pick at WR, but I do think he's got his head together now, and if it not, it sucks, but it's a 5th rounder. And compared to everyone else available, I think he was of good value.

Well the three people running it seem fine with it. These aren't all that big of moves, but it does allow the 49ers to assume they have Colt. I'm not sure the Cardinals getting Palmer makes a difference in their draft strategy.

With the pick 26 in hte 5th round the Green Bay Packers select

Samford’s DT Nick Williams,

Williams is another late bloomer who didn’t play football until his senior year in high school and didn’t start for D1AA Samford until his 4th year on campus. He blossomed in 2012 though when he had 6 sacks coming up the middle. He has an impressive performance at the combine in February. Williams measured in at a full-sized 6-4, 310 with long arms and big hands, and then went out and an a quick 4.94 40, which was just a couple of 100s behnd Sharrif Floyd’s pace-setting times for DTs. Williams, though, was actually even quicker over 10 yards (1.63 seconds to 1.68) than Floyd. Williams also posted a solid 28 reps in the bench press.

Cummings ran a 4.41 at 6'0 216 Lbs. He has the speed of a CB and the size of a S. Cummings was Georgia's best CB the last 2 yrs. He will end up starting if he can become more consistent and not have mental lapses.

1.) Chance Warmack, OG - Shores up the offensive line with Thomas and Schwartz as OTs.

3.) Markus Wheaton, WR - Speedy receiver to help Weeden throw to WRs he was used to at OklaSt.

4.) Brandon Jenkins, OLB - Developmental pass-rusher in case Sheard doesn't pan out.

5A.) Leon McFadden, CB - Former WR with upside, provides the Browns someone to groom into a starter.

With the 164th overall pick, the Browns select...

Nico Johnson, ILB Alabama

http://www2.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Alabama+v+Mississippi+20OQTAIUUF2l.jpg

From CBS Sports:

Strengths

Physically imposing defender with good overall musculature and weight distribution. Seems to enjoy the physical nature of the game, aggressively taking on and shedding blockers at the point of attack. Appears most comfortable inside, showing the ability to make subtle side-steps to slip into gaps and meet backs at the line.

Weaknesses

Isn't the intimidating striker that his physicality might lead you to believe. Doesn't play as fast as might appear in workouts. Limited awareness as a pass defender. Does not possess ideal speed or fluidity to handle coverage responsibilities for long.

Compares To: Bart Scott, ILB, New York Jets

A really solid, sound fundamental player, cant go wrong with a Saban coached LB. (McClain not withstanding) I cant believe a talent like this is available this late in the draft. Johnson would be an immediate upgrade over James/Dobbins and he's available in the 5th rd. WoW

I agree, Johnson was a very good pick and surprising that he's still available in the 5th. I don't think he'll fall this far on draft day. I think he can be real good as MLB in a 4-3 stuffing the run, but he's very limited in pass coverage and isn't going to be great as a 3-4 ILB with pass coverage duties on a RB or TE.

I agree on Toilolo as well, in a couple years he could be a stud at TE.

The TT mock draft gives us perspective on the talent in this draft.

While the headline talent isn't great, this draft is deeper than I've seen in a while.

I mean, look at ILB, how much difference is there between a 4-5th rd talent like Klein/Johnson/Bostic or 1-3 rd rd talent like Te'o/A.Brown/Minter? There's not that big of a difference.

I would fill the ILB spot on the Texans in the early 4th after trading up. It shouldn't cost much to move up to the top of the 4th rd.

With the 166th pick the Miami Dolphins select...

Andre Ellington, RB, Clemson

Amazed that Ellington is still here at the end of the 5th round. Miami has to replace Reggie Bush's carries from last season. They have Daniel Thomas, who has struggled in his first two seasons, and Lamar Miller, who played well as a 3rd back for Miami as a rookie in 2012. Ellington gives them another back to put in the mix to replace those carries. I think he could be a good pro.

Tavarres King and Andre Ellington in the 5th round is good value for Miami's offense.

Lawrence Okoye, DL, of England

Lawrence Okoye, DE (6-foot-6, 304 pounds) — An Olympic discus thrower, Okoye reportedly turned down an offer to attend Oxford University to try out for the NFL. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.88 and 4.78 seconds. He performed the short shuttle in 4.38 seconds, had a 10-foot-5 broad jump and a 35-inch vertical jump. His arms were measured to be 35 inches long.

Okoye looked like he could be drafted. He was unbelievably active and incredibly explosive in drills. It was a real, first-class show.

Ricky Wagner?

With the 167th pick in the NFL Mock Draft the Green Bay Packers select Ricky Wagner OT Wisconsin.

Thanks! Sorry worked 16 straight hours yesterday. Was here this morning waiting to pick and fell asleep. I was going to pick an OT this round but was going to take luke Marquardt. I actually had Wagner rated higher than Luke but for some reason had already taken him off my list. Good pick had I realized he was still available I would of taken him with my last pick.

This is the kind guy that I hope the Texans can pick up late in the draft. He has the ability to be a Sharpton type player without the injury issues. Possible starter/great depth guy.

If Thorton falls to the 5th he should be the pick. Great value.

He played LT at Illinois, I wonder if he could play RT? He appears to have the athletic ability to do so. Thorton is a real tough guy, something the Texans OL is currently missing.

He's a sleeper for me at ILB this year. Solid player that could be had mid-to-late and has some starting potential.

Not really a need for SF, but I just couldn't pass him up at this point.

IDK...he struggled with pass protection his whole career and had some problems at the Senior Bowl. Not to mention he's 6'3, with 33 inch arms.

He's a great run blocker so that just screams OG to me. Could be a good player though. Yet another mid-to-late guy that has some starting potential.

Sorry I've been out of the office, thoughts on who Cleveland should pick? I wish that people would live up to their commitments.

The Browns could use another CB, I vote Steve Williams CB California, Wiliams had some of the best numbers at the combine and was better than his more highly CB partner Anthony. He will be a good nickle CB in the Brice McCain mode.

since this is the last pick for Bills bong/BL I would just like to add some finishing thoughts.

really feel for Chan Gailey fine football coach I've always admired but you as they say out with the old in with the new. Doug Marrone former HC at Syracuse where they play the most boring & bland football I've ever had to suffer through, is a defensive minded coach. not sure who selected Oday but it wasn't me, not surprising he goes with players in his conference he understands their game & potential, Greene/Webster/Beauharnais. they all fit together & help build a base to a defense that lost a lot of players Nick Barnett was released, Shawn Merriman retired & Kirk Morrision is a free agent. Plus they brought in Mike Pettine as defensive coordinator, lucky to escape Rex Ryan hulk in New York to begin a new identity. These have to be results driven picks based on Ralph Wilsons age if nothing else. Give me three late picks that is about the best I can do within the confines given.

AS stated earlier there is a push to get Geno Smith, doubt they would go Barkley route though I like his ability just not a bill worthy player (Bills fans feel free to copy & past say BL says hello). No I think they will hope for one of the LT's to slip probably Johnson then my man Marrone can draft his own QB Ryan Nassib.

My question here to you, Texan fans, is would you like to trade down with Buffalo, pick #27 for pick #41 & Bills 2nd rd. selection in 2014? If your Rick Smith would you do this deal?

Considering the talent level in this draft, I'd make that trade. I'd be looking for high value at DT or WR with that #41 pick, and lets face it that 2nd round pick next year is probably going to be even better than #41. I'm guessing next years 2nd will be in the area of pick #35-38. Next years 1st and two 2nd's would be some good ammo. for moving up to get a new QB next year.

The NY Jets select Chris Harper, WR, Kansas St.

Harper is a coordinated athlete with above average body control and focus, tracking the ball beautifully and snatching it out of the air with his reliable hands. Harper isn't overly explosive and is more of a one-speed player, but has been improving each game as a route runner and is an effective perimeter blocker with a strong core for the position. While not a track star, Harper has good-enough football speed and is one of the more underrated receivers for the 2013 class.

I think McFadden, Webster, and Cummings make three nice target possibilities for the Texans in the late round.

I really like Cummings, He's got the size of a SS and the speed of a CB. He just needs to focus a little better.

Cummings in the 4-5th rd range would be an upgrade over Alan Ball. Steve Williams is built like McCain and is probably better than Brandon Harris.

Marcus Davis, WR, Virginia Tech

http://themeatlockersports.files.wordpress.com/2012/11/marcusdavisvirginiatechvpittsburghjpv8j5lfzqsl.jpg

Big body WR at 6'3 233 pounds. He was relatively productive for VT this year with 51 receptions for 953 yards and 5 touchdowns. The Bears need some help at WR, and this guy could develop into a good WR behind Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery. He's not a burner, but he is a fighter, and he had to make a lot of plays on the ball last year.

How about a TE

Lucas Reed, TE, New Mexico
Height: 6-6. Weight: 250.
Projected 40 Time: 4.65.
Projected Round (2013): FA.
3/16/13: Reed had five receptions for 37 yards in 2012. New Mexico struggled to pass the ball. Reed performed well at the East-West Shrine and at his pro day.

8/21/12: Reed is the younger brother of Houston Texans linebacker Brooks Reed. Lucas Reed hauled in 22 receptions for 241 yards as a junior in 2011. His most productive year was in 2010, when he caught 33 passes for 459 yards and five scores.

Here is more on Reed

03/07/2013 - 2013 New Mexico Pro Day: While the 2013 NFL draft may lack in headlining skill-position prospects, it does offer intriguing depth. This is particularly true at tight end, which is generally regarded as one of the classes' most talented positions. It is precisely because of this depth that likely kept scouts from inviting New Mexico's Lucas Reed to the combine. Representatives from a handful of teams that traveled to see he and the rest of the Lobos perform at Thursday's Pro Day, however, were treated to a performance that would have ranked among the best among tight ends tested in Indianapolis.
Reed measured in at 6-6, 247 pounds and despite possessing very long arms (35 1/4"), topped the high set by Stanford's Zach Ertz this year at the combine with 27 repetitions of 225 pounds. His explosiveness extended to the vertical jump, as well, where he posted a 37" vertical jump. Reed was unofficially clocked between 4.65-4.72 seconds in the 40-yard dash. He had a 4.08-second time in the short shuttle and covered the three-cone in 6.97 seconds.

Reed performing well during workouts isn't a surprise. His older brother, former Arizona pass rusher Brooks Reed, also worked out exceptionally well, contributing to his earning a second round selection by the Houston Texans. While Reed was the most impressive of the athletes tested at New Mexico today- Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com

OT Luke Marquardt, 6'9" 315

Luke Marquardt to hold workout at Azusa Pacific on April 11...Azusa Pacific offensive tackle Luke Marquardt - who was at the NFL Scouting Combine but unable to work out due to a broken foot suffered during his senior season - will be working out on April 11 at the school. A group of NFL offensive line coaches will be present to watch Marquardt go through drills. Marquardt's height - he's 6-foot-8 - helps make him an intriguing NFL prospect, and could allow him to be the first Azusa Pacific player selected in the NFL draft since Christian Okoye - the famous "Nigerian Nightmare" - was a second-round pick in 1987 by the Kansas City Chiefs. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com

Well if you guys are deadset on a TE, I think a blocking TE could have some value now. A couple good ones at this spot might be Philip Lutzenkirchen of Auburn and Ben Cotton from Nebraska. Cotton will probably be a UDFA, but I do think Lutz will be drafted. Lutz had no QB this year, so it's no surprise he had low receiving stats. His measurables are: Height: 6-3. Weight: 258, Arm: 33.28, Hand: 10.28, 40 Time: 4.94.

I think we have one or two more interior guys going to camp last year, so I'm open to draft one, especially with the extra 6th round comp pick.

However, we still need to consider other spots.
I like a couple of RBs on Dutch's list; I think we need one for TC to compete against Meggett who might not make the roster.

I like Kenjon Barner the most out of them. He would be really interesting in a ZBS running scheme.

A really fast guy that dropped due to injury is Chris Thompson from Florida State. He's probably more of a 7th round guy due to the injury, but he's quick and isn't too tiny at just under 200 pounds.

Earl Wolff is a good value here, but they just picked Rontez Miles last round. Don't think they need to double up on Safety when there is a need at RB and a lot of prospects here.

I'm good with Barner.

Mark Harrison, Mike Catapano or Micheal Mauti would be my picks for the Texans at this point.

Barner would be a good pick too. Forsett's replacement.

There are a few big CBs that I like; one of them is Jeremy Harris from New Mexico St.
I only got to watch one of his game, but the TV angle is really poor for CB.
But he tested extremely well.

I might give him a nod over Barner at RB.

Earl Wolff is still actually available so I would go with him as my vote. I didn't see that the last pick was a safety so a RB like Barner works.

No, I didn't.
I was waiting for him so I never made any selection.
And that was why I figured maybe corrosion can even change the pick, LoL!

The Broncos have forfeited the rest of their picks due to the absence of the GM.

Just kidding, it will be a long time before they get to pick again, Señor.

Looks like he ran out of time.
I just figured it's too close to closing time, and then the yard work and landscaping distracts me.

If y'all want to discuss picking for the Seahawks, go ahead.
I need to go clean up and get ready for dinner.
We might even go out.

Has that pick been made or .... do I need to get to work ? I saw the discussion on it but Blake was on the clock ? or was I ?

Seahawks selections so far: OT, TE, QB, OLB, Wr

Some of their fans are also looking for a Nickel DB, a DT, a RB, and a S.

Kenjon Barner is available at RB
Earl Wolff is available at Safety
Their fans suggest either Micah Hyde or Demetrius McCray at CB
They also like either Abry Jones DT or T J Barnes DT

Jones/josh Boyd/MarkHarrison/Maponga would be good picks.

Any of those guys will do at this point.
Regarding receiver, I think I'll go with the big guy since they can use one.
Mark Harrison would get the nod over Boyd.

However, we currently get two votes for Abry Jones, yours and mine.
