Should be a very fun game to watch, IF the Texans manage to pull out a miracle win in Foxboro I'd much rather play the Ravens than Broncos.

Big time pass & catch.

Falcco 1....... Schaub..... 0

Nope.

Same mistake by the secondary on an extension of the two receiver route.
The off-side CB needed to head straight back toward the deep post when the single safety took the crosser.

Good protection. Wide open receiver. Easy throw.

Mr teX
01-12-2013, 04:55 PM
Uh oh...2 bad passes in a row with a pick 6 thrown by manning....i thought schaub was the only qb in the league who did that though?

thunderkyss
01-12-2013, 04:55 PM
Yeah... I like Flacco's arm. I wish Schaub could do those kind of rainbow throws.

Bailey really isn't the same DB he was 5 years ago. Burned by Smith there, and he was completely overmatched by AJ and Roddy White in the regular season.

In reality, there's nothing "special" about that throw, he just put it out there, far enough, with enough air for Torrey Smith to run under it.

No reason Schaub can't do that, he just doesn't.

Well, on the boots it takes him 10 seconds to get around, by then, Andre has already outran his arm.

GP
01-12-2013, 04:55 PM
If the Ravens win, there will be a really good chance that the refs tomorrow (Pats-Texans) feel no need to give Tom Brady any breaks.

Because the new hot thing will be the idea of the Texans losing HFA then getting it back again by virtue of the Broncos blowing their own game and the Texans finding a miracle to beat the Patriots.

AND, ref conspiracies aside, the Texans--if the Ravens win--will know that they have a real chance at redemption all of a sudden.

This could be a Perfect Storm if it keeps up. :fans:

I'm not a huge fan of Flacco, but that was a good throw - Smith was barely out a step when he took it in.

Looks like we're in for a good game here.

Flacco makes those throws quite a bit. I dunno how much you watch him, but Torrey Smith has been doing go routes like that all year. I don't know what their completion % is on those, but it seems to happen a lot. They also result in penalties on the defense quite a bit. It's just great to have that throw in your arsenal, because a guy like AJ would greatly benefit from it.

Meh, they've been fair so far. The PI on the pick 6 was a relatively tough one to call in full speed, and I don't think the others have been particularly controversial. The Broncos have just been more undisciplined so far.

Looks like Torrey had a hand on Bailey and gave him a little head start out of the play.

That was not a good throw; Bailey was looking back the whole team; he could have had a pick there. That TD was on Torrey, not Flacco.

Flacco also overthrew him a couple of times deep.
He needs to be a little more accurate for the Ravens to win this game.

Nope, this game is playing right into the ravens' hands...they're forcing the broncos to back off a little with these deep passes..and as soon as they do that, it'll be run lanes galore for leach/rice thereby controlling the clock....and by extension keeping manning off the field..

More or less agree, but there have been times when Andre has let him down as well.

I don't fault Matt for this..... I've said it before, it's a team game & there's nothing out there to make anyone believe our receivers would deliver in these situations, so it wouldn't make sense for Schaub to start expecting them to now.

But if you've got a Fullback streaming down the seem, with no one around, put it over his head, drop it in the basket & get yourself a TD.

When you've got the best WR in the league for the last 4 or 5 years getting WTF open at least once a game, how does he not average 16 TDs a year?

I don't expect Schaub to be Flacco, or Romo, or Brady, but I would like to see him maximize what he does have. Leave it all out there on the field, don't save anything for tomorrow.
