This quote from Kubiak's press conference earlier today would at least make you think he'll be ready to go.
Q: How much do you think Garrett Graham is going to help the passing game with his return?

GK: Garrett has been a good, solid player for us all year long. He’s been good in the pass game as well as on the line of scrimmage. He gives us flexibility in our offense and what we do. I had actually forgotten that he wasn’t available at that time so it’s good to have him back. He’s been a good player for us. He played well last week. It’s good to have him back ready to go.

Kubs is having the team practice in the later afternoon, beginning at 3 pm in order to simulated the Patriots late game time. Inclement weather took practice to the dome. Ball did not practice again, but it is because the indoor turf. Reed, G. Graham, and Tate were all full practice (fwiw since no pads and indoor turf dictates "full" nothing).

One thing I found strange. After being off the Injury Report all last week, G. Graham is back as "concussion."

As usual, ~1/2 of the Pats' squad is on the report as limited.

I hope the AC was down to 25 degrees in the practice dome, with fake snow being blown around by gigantic industrial fans.

That would really be strange since all weather forecasts call for ~50-55 degrees with little chance for precipitation.

No indication to the contrary. But I wonder why "concussion" reappeared after being absent last week. His was not even listed on the Injury Report at all last week.

He took a blow to the head in the 4th, but finished the game.

My concern is he was also allowed to practice last time before he did not play.

I just checked it out..........he suffered a formal concussion in the Bengals game. He will need to follow the entire concussion protocol all over again this week. Final neurologist check out will not occur before Saturday......possibly Sunday morning. Second concussions, especially when experienced close together will follow the same protocol as the first......but in fact with a more critical eye when it comes to the final neurological assessment. If you remember, I cautioned about being hopeful of Graham returning the week after his initial concussion. Like everyone else, I hope he checks out for this game.

Garret Graham has concussion, limited in practice on Wednesday:

http://www.battleredblog.com/2013/1/9/3858146/texans-patriots-injury-report-garrett-graham-has-concussion-limited

Does this mean he is out for Sunday? More than likely he is I would assume since this is his second one.

Why do we only have two TEs on the roster any ways if the 2nd is so crucial to our offense?

I mean...all those years where we just drafted TE after TE and only have two to show for it?

Hell OD got banged up early in the Cinci game where he went in motion and was used as a lead blocker. He got up slow and looked dazed. Later he took a big hit after a catch. I'm surprised he doesn't have a concussion. If Kubiak is going to use them as lead blockers and Matt is going to continue to throw them the ball when the defense is bearing down on them we are going to have to draft a couple more TEs in the next draft.

I really don't understand why Casey isn't used at TE more.

He was to be so versatile that he could be used in lots of creatively disguised ways out of the FB position. Unfortunately, he has seemed to have fooled no one except Schaub.

He's not a FB. Next year, we need to utilize his receiving skills to the fullest as a TE, and accept him simply as a good blocking TE.

I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Texans tight end Garrett Graham was limited in practice on Wednesday after suffering a concussion on Saturday against the Cincinnati Bengals. He could play Sunday in the Divisional Round at New England if he passes league concussion testing protocols.
Graham was hit hard in the helmet by Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict late in the fourth quarter of the Texans’ 19-13 Wild Card victory over Cincinnati. He suffered another concussion earlier this season on Dec. 2 at Tennessee and missed the following game, which was the Texans’ 42-14 loss to the Patriots. Graham practiced all week that week but was not cleared for the game and did not travel with the team to Foxboro.

**** this ****. I had no idea he got another concussion. Goodness gracious. Losing him changes everything we do and everything we CAN do. And nobody gets it because you can't just say "Oh, we don't have Graham so it changed everything." People don't get that and they'll just laugh at you.

Son of a *****.

Or

Do the rules only apply to in game concussions?

FYI FWIW Yates has shown up on the Injury Report for the past 2 weeks as "right elbow." That's his throwing arm. Elbow problems are surprisingly uncommon in quarterbacks. Because of the possibility of an impact from the defense, a quarterback usually uses an abbreviated follow-through during the deceleration phase of throwing rather than a complete follow-through, as in pitching. There are therefore less elbow injuries in football quarterbacks than in baseball pitchers because of the lower forces and torques (no twisting of the wrists used in the motion) required during the football deceleration phase. Has he already begun wearing it out?:kitten:

For the first time in ages, I am glad to announce that Ball was apparently breathing and alive, and able to put on his shoes, move on the field (how fast, how far, or in what directions I cannot say), and complete an entire "limited" practice. By previously established definition of this status, mostly attributed to the "breathing" part........he should be a "go.":chef:

Graham full practice today.

There's still left the Sunday morning pregame final neurologic examination for Graham to pass.

As of today both he and OD have been put back as "questionable" both yesterday and today. OD's shoulder is still bothering him quite a bit. And remember, Ball was listed as "probable" all last week before the Bengals game.

Reed was changed from "questionable" yesterday to "probable" today.

Graham was changed from "questionable" yesterday to "probable" today.

Well the Pats have a couple of guys out for the year who got significant playing time (Dowling & Edleman), but all but 5 players were removed from the injury report today and those 5 were listed as probable and were full participants in practice today. IOW the Pats will be at full strength on Sunday.

Hope Graham and Daniels are able to play Sunday.

Weather is usually our ally in Jan, especially with teams from the South, this week it won't be a factor the low Sunday is supposed to be 48, balmy weather.

I hope we hit Brady hard enough and often enough that he wants to retire. This kind of "internet tough guy" bravado cracks me up. Mostly because I've heard it from the fans of the Pats' opponents now for about a decade. Yet somehow Brady keeps getting better not worse.

Anyone who claims that the way to slow Brady down is to hit him hard and often, should get the "Keen sense of the obvious" Award, since its the best way to slow down ANY QB.

BTW- I'm happy that that both teams are going to be relatively healthy for this game, and I understand that Texan fans are glad to be getting their "other" TE back. But I hope you won't begrudge me, if Pats fans might be a "bit" more happy, to be getting THEIR "other" TE back. ;)
