Now, don't go for a 5 wideout formation at this point. I think it has happened twice so far in short yardage, incluing the AJ dropped pass. They need to at least leave the option of a run.

I think that was a designed call there.

Matt let go of that too fast, and it was way too deep right out his hand when he threw it...

AJ drew the p.i. very expertly.

I have ZERO confidence that the deep pass was a genuine deep attempt there. Not on that particular play.

Maybe Chris Myers too.

These are the guys you can consistently count upon to bring everything they have, do their jobs at a high level, and limit bad mistakes.

I'm very confused as to why guys like Barwin, Reed, and Smith are not winning more one-one-on battles.

Manning and Joseph are struggling, IMO, be side Manning playing closer to LOS to mask the loss of Cushing.

It's refreshing to see someone mention KJ like that. With Reed's groin, don't expect him to win one on one with anyone unless he can get cleanly around his man without resistant contact.

not sure if it was that bad of a call. It looked to me if Schaub would have led foster on the pass he could have turned up the middle into the EZ. Foster had to slow down to catch the ball.

In fairness though, I would rather play it safe than risk an INT in the end zone. Otoh, there are safe end zone passes.

No problem playing conservative in this case. Make it a two score game. One TD for them if we didn't get 3 and they'd have the lead.

It might take us 10 drives to score 30 points but you give Brady and NE 10 drives and they're scoring a lot more than 28.

I think he was talking about the 4th and 1 at midfield (right near the 50) on the earlier drive. Not that I agree with him. Punting is not bad in that situation.
