I especially like what Casserly says, everyone is so high on Denver and Baltimore and which team beat both Handily, Houston. Pretty good vidoe if anyone hasnt seen it.

saw that this morning and a line that stood out to me was solomon pointing out how we havent had an interception in the last couple of weeks. we nearly went without any turnovers for those 10 quarter (plus the second half of the bears' game). turnovers is an area that will have it's peaks and valleys, and being in one of those lows is a big part of the defensive struggles the past two games. sure there are things that we need to improve upon, namely our pass rush, but those turnovers will return and with it the dominating defense that we're used to because of the points we'll inevitably get from them.

At leat we've won a playoff game in recent years unlike Atlanta. And with a rookie QB too.

Analysts don't like to be wrong. Until the Texans have more playoff success they are going to take the safe route and say more proven teams are better.
It's up to the Texans to go take the respect nobody is just going to give it because were 10-1.

At least they are talking about us in these conversations.

Why do we only start knocking down passes in the 4th or OT, even my wife noticed and wondered...

Well Eric Davis on NFL Network loves him some Ravens sooo much, you'd think he actually played for that team.

I'm pretty sure guys are still putting their hands in the air if they don't believe they are going to get to the passer in the other 3 qtrs.

Because we don't.

Against the Dolphins, Watt got his flurry of tips in the 2nd quarter. Cody got his tipped pass in the first quarter. We bat balls all the time.

Yeah he was practically in tears the day after the Thanksgiving game because he was saying this could cost the Ravens a first round bye or homefield advantage.

While I agree about beating those two teams "handily" but Denver is a better team than they were whenever we faced them before (i.e. Manning and their offense are clicking a lot better). Baltimore, I'm not as worried about. Schaub & AJ greater than Flacco & Boldin....

Rice v. Foster = push

Homefield advantage -------> TEXANS

Do we have to have a "respect" thread every single freakin' week? Who cares, man. Just play the damn game.

Hey now H-ville is my home town. Will move back eventually. Shenanigans, Jolly fox are kinda lame though. Athough SHSU sure does have a lot of hotties.

I agree with the NFL folks, let's see what these two teams do in the playoffs. However, one thing that isn't spoke of here, is yes, the Houston defense has been weak the past two weeks, but damn, we're missing practicly half our starting players!

But you know, this is like the wonderful rating systems that put the Texans in the number one spot right now. That rating won't even get you a free soda. But winning games will, most especially winning games in the playoffs. We just gotta wait and see what happens.

We beat Denver, and like Bill says, we did it before Da Forehead really got his grove back. We dominated the Ravens, and still gotta play the Patsies. That Patsie game will tell us a lot.

And if you think about it, this weekends Titan game will tell us a lot as well. Let's see how well our injured defense holds up. I have no doubt we'll score some good points on the Titans, but how many will they be able to put up against us is the big question.

Sorry, I meant the last two OT games :)

Push my ass. Foster is the best RB in the league. Rice is close, but it isn't a push. Just my opinion though. Carry on.

Win in the playoffs = earn you respect

Who really gives a **** about the regular season? I for one would want the Texans to be the underdog again. They perform so well when they aren't favored by anyone.

Good video, thanks for posting. I wouldn't have thought our stats & Atlanta's would be so close.

Where we play Denver matters a great deal. The crowd noise issue will be huge going up against Miller/Dumervil. In Denver, they'll whip our OL on passing downs. In Houston, they won't. To me, other than getting a bye, where we play Denver is the biggest issue remaining during the regular season.

While I agree that "where" the game is played, matters. That said (just throwing this out there)... We beat Denver in Denver where their crowd should've been extremely loud v. our offense, no??

I get it that the Broncos we faced earlier in the year is different than the Broncos team we could potentially face in the playoffs BUT to your point, more than likely they'll be here and we'll crush that sh!te by a score of 21-17! :kitten:

Yeah, this team plays well on the road. I'd still like our chances if we had to go to Denver.

The main reason I want HFA, is that other teams aren't so good on the road, especially Baltimore.

Though I think we can beat Baltimore on the road, why play around. Let them come to H-town.

Without Cushing, we aren't that team. I'm not saying we can't win in Denver. However, I am saying that our margin for error is much smaller than it was when we played Denver in week 3.

I love Cush. But Dobbins filled in well. Not saying we didn't/don't miss him but Dobbins filled in well.

Sharpton came in also played well, but I don't think he was ready for such extended play, then he went from Mo-to-Mike with very little preparation.

The biggest issue, I think, was missing Cody the last couple of weeks. We'll see against CJ2ypc who may have caught his second wind & NE, #6 in rushing (http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tabSeq=2&offensiveStatisticCategory=RUSHING&conference=ALL&role=TM&season=2012&seasonType=REG&d-447263-s=RUSHING_YARDS_PER_GAME_AVG&d-447263-o=2&d-447263-n=1).
