At this rate he'll have 29.5 sacks by the end of the season. jk.

Let's not forget, and as was mentioned today, his style of giving up on a sack that probably won't happen to get high and tall on a potential pass block could have coaches in the future rethinking how they teach a lineman.

Not saying he would have more sacks otherwise, but there it is....

He also tied Reggie White with the most passes defended by a lineman with his 13th today. That season White had 15 sacks to go with those. Watt should easily become the first lineman with 15 of each.

Anyone know the most sacks for a 3-4 DE?

No idea, but if I had to guess who, I'd guess Bruce Smith.

Smith had 19 in 1990, his best sack total in a season. He had 6.5 his rookie year.

Smith's high was 19 - 1990 in Buffalo. That is probably it.
